WHY?????

I was so shocked to see 3 of these French Fry Cones, I took the photo to prove I saw it!

My mind kicked into gear wondering Why Anyone Would Buy this thing, and totally forgot to check the price.

I dove down the hole to find the price and, on the site, could not find one. Evidently, they were too embarrassed to say they have 3 of them.
But they do have All of the Above. Only 54 dollars for Four
or purchase the one below with a ketchup/catsup holder, for 22.50 and if you have 4 family members you will only pay 88.00 for something to hold your French fries!

Also, the ad says you can use your own wax paper instead of purchasing the waxed cones, and would you like to buy scissors to cut the wax paper?
And if you search eBay, I found 6 pack for 33.00. USED it says!
Of course, they want to sell them, they USED them and thought Why Did I Buy These Things?
The best news I can come up with is this gave me Blog Fodder and I spent an hour diving and creating.
If we ate enough French fries to need a HOLDER, we could cut up water bottles and make our own, and put the catsup/ketchup in the lid, leaving the plastic top to pollute our world, instead of the whole bottle.
How many fries does a person eat?
Did plates and saucers go out of style? Sit them in a teacup! Stuff them in a mug!
My apologies, if you own these!
Ginny, you know where I got these, do not go There

Maybe fast food restaurants buy them. Maybe someone is trying to encourage fast food eaters to bring their own packaging - like BYO water bottle or coffee cup.... Who knows...maybe there is even a whole chunk of society who regard plates as decadent because you also need tables to put them on and would settle for portable fast food holders instead. Xxx Mr T

UNbelievable what they're asking for those holders. More so, they're probably getting it.

I've seen them for a few years now at places like Cheesecake Factory and Red Robin. My impression was it gives the impression there's more to a serving ... I don't know. Good thing I don't care for fries.

Thanks for the giggle!!

I don't know where you went but that is ridiculous! I guess some people have money to burn!

It certainly provided you with enough information for a post, Sandra, but what ridiculously looking FF holders and the cost is just as ridiculous!

I adore your blog fodder and where your brain goes!

That's sure something that to me is a complete waste of hard earned cash. Looks fancy (maybe) but Brother!!

I think I will stick with putting my french fries right on a plate with the rest of my food. I'll even squirt a nice size puddle of ketchup right next to them. That's crazy expensive for something like that.

Good grief, pass me a sheet of wax paper and newspaper, wrap them like days of old. I used to pick them up from the chippy that way.

You have a good idea for making your own. I don't see a need for that at home. We actually don't make fries at home but when we do get them with an order I usually only eat one or two. It's crazy the prices they charge those things.
