Covid Memories

Each night when Bob removes his hearing aid, he is totally deaf!

In the middle of the night Bob had a coughing spell, and I went down the hall for the Nyquil.
Handing him the little measuring cup, I realized he would not remember the bottle says
Warning! do not use with Acetaminophen and since it is on his bedside table and he takes that on a regular basis,
I wrote the words, Can't Take with Tylenol and waved it under his nose in the dark.
Realizing he could not read it in the dark and had no reading glasses on,
I grabbed the flashlight and blinded both of us shining the light on the note.
He said WHY?
Using canine hand signals, I shrugged my shoulders, did the stay and down signals
and he laid down and went to sleep.
A sore point is by the time I got back in bed, he was already snoring.
What is up with men and instant sleep?
At wake up, with aids inserted, we replayed the story and had fits of giggles
.
PS...IBS does NOT like Nyquil at all.

At least it was worth a good laugh, but we get you when the coughing keeps you awzke, and the medicine for it sends him straight to sleep. Xxx Mr T and F

I'm glad there was laughter to follow - something to lighten the load of that nasty lurgy! YAM xx

Hello,

It is good to have a nice laugh! My hubby is the same way, able to fall asleep in any condition, so easily. Take care, have a great day!

I sure wish I could fall asleep like that too. I seem to bounce around forever.
Hope you are all feeling better and back to Life as usual.
Had a good Christmas with a new blog post in a few days.

I didn't know the about Nyquil although we don't use it.

Men do seem to be able to fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I guess it's because they have us to worry about everything for them.
Good thing he can understand your hand signals.

Boy I can relate to the hearing or should I say not hearing. I may have to revert to a notepad! I hadn't thought of that! ~jackiesee~

There have been so many times I have pushed Roger or shook him, and he will say 'what?' and I will say , 'Stop Snoring!" and he will say he did not know he was asleep!

Nyquil was always my drug of choice when I had a bad cold/coughing. Then for a long time, I could not take it without vomiting. Now I can again, but have only taken it once/maybe twice since Roger's stroke. It really knocks me out, so do not like to take anything that will knock me out. It does not take much.

Oh my gosh - my husband goes to sleep in a second and is snoring before I hit the bed.

You got that right! It says much for me as it is for him because it does knock him right out

This did make me smile! I have one who used to sleep in an aircraft carrier when the jets landed on the deck. He was below but could sleep through the whole thing.
