Thankful Thursday

Due to Poor Personal Choice of excessive internet use and a 2nd poor choice of ignoring the pain it caused, I missed a whole week of blogging and I thought I might die with a week off from INTERNET!

I HAD NOTHING ELSE TO DO. I could only lay flat or propped up on bed or sofa! Reading I love but reading for 12 hours a day would be to much for the eyes.

Our TV has only Silly Stuff Talk show with hosts I don't know about people I don't know and don't want to no, news that is more depressing than Mouse shoulder, SciFi or Violence, Sex and murder/mayhem....

I AM THANKFUL TODAY THAT I AM BETTER AND BACK ONLINE AND THAT THE INTERNET IS HERE FOR ME AND FOR ALL OF YOU

This post is to validate WHY I watched all those Christmas Movies, 2 and 3 per day. Quite a few of you said you just can't watch them.

QUESTION FOR YOU IS..... IF YOU HAD TO LAY IN BED/SOFA FOR A WEEK WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO ENTERTAIN YOURSELF?

We have just gotten streaming, and it is one of the best things we ever did! I think you have the Fire Stick, so you already have it. We watch all kinds of English mysteries, and other shows like Doc Martin. We will stream all night long.

Hmm good question. I suppose knitting is out of the question (shoulder pain), and.. F would die. I, the Tigger, on the other hand am well practised at this. You sleep... ..and sleep, .... and.... get up occasionally to eat and use the toilet, move to in front of the fire, and go back to examining the insides of my eyelids. Xxx Mr T

I would most likely alternate between napping and watching tv

I have a smart TV but if there's nothing good on my regular channels or Netflix I have several old favourites on DVD, both films and TV-series. I only have a TV in the living room. In bed I read, listen to the radio or to audio books or music, or use my tablet. Audio books are a major blessing when I need to rest my eyes as well as relax my muscles but still keep my brain entertained ;)

Yeah, finally catch up on my TBR pile of books (or listing on reader); maybe snack a bit too much; do word puzzles... sleep. YAM xx

Hello,
I go between sleeping, reading, watching tv and the computer. If the weather is good I will take a walk. I assume you were not well enough for a walk.
Take care, enjoy your day!

We watch our favorite movies...our DVDs. We are watching the Number 1 Ladies Detective series right now. We watch about an hour in the evenings before we read and go to bed. I guess I would watch Anne of Green Gables and some of those. I can't stand the commercials on tv any more. I'm glad you are better and you survived! WHEW! Hugs!

No tv in the bedroom so I'd be reading or playing Words with friends. Thankfully we have a very comfy couch in the family room so I could watch tv in there too

Happy you are feeling 100%

I am thrilled you feel better.

All these gals have given good answers and I would add call my friends - go to church - walk around Wally World???

Good question!
Do you get breakfast (lunch/dinner) in bed?
I'd say, reading ... but wish there was some way books could be uploaded to the TV screen in BIG FONT. Right now I'm consumed with playing Wordle and Quordle on my phone. Who needs conversation? (haha)

I would probably watch tv or read too...I really like finding funny YouTube videos to watch on my phone.

I am so glad you are doing better. Pain can be so ugly. Sometimes my mind just doesn't allow me to do things I need to do. Financial stuff can do that sometimes.
Guess I would read and just watch mindless tv and look at the inside of my eyelids too.
I did get my tree up and will post a few photos in the days to come.
Eye dr. appointment with Dave today. Follow up to his cataract surgery.
This is Thankful Thursday.. Thankful I am up and about. Nose is a bit sniffly so ugh I sure don't want to be honking and blowing!!

Read, nap, play mind games...like going thru alphabet to name a certain subject: like book titles or movies, etc.

When I was laid up with shingles in the eye a few years ago I streamed TV shows in bed, especially all of Frasier. I also have audible books and puzzles to do.

I know that I don't watch any day time TV. Glad you are feeling better. I am sure I would be watching movies in my office. We do not have a TV in the bedroom.

Good to know you feel better. Being laid up like that can be mind numbing when you are used to being active. I sleep a lot when I am sick but if I am too uncomfortable to sleep and don't have the energy for much else, I watch movies or nature shows, and then go back to sleep if I can.
