Fishing Boat

I drove in Wal-Mart, Saturday, New Year's Eve, and there sat a truck with a huge fishing boat attached, right where I needed to drive in.
I felt so bad for the owner the boat was a 30-foot fishing boat and the trailer had collapsed in the rear,
they had put many concrete blocks under it to prop it up, and they were collapsing and breaking into pieces, I felt so bad for the owner.

While I am here
I want to share 2 alerts with you.
I never answer the phone if I don't recognize the name or number. a good practice to have.

Alert! an old scam is at it again on the rise, last seen in 2019 but rampant here in our county. If you phone/cell rings once and hangs up and you don't recognize the number, its a scam to get you to call back and they charge you mega bucks for calling because it is international call and it puts that call on your phone and you have to fight with your provider that you did not make it...
I have had 3 call and ring once.

Alert #2 : Be wary of prices on Amazon if you search for something you can't find on the local shelves.

Tink yada Brown Rice Pasta has been missing for 3 weeks. I found it on Amazon, for twice what I pay for it at Walmart.  I ran a search for it near me and found one Publix that had it. I went to Publix and bought 4 packs because that is a couple of months' worth. Cost for 4 packs 12 dollars. Amazon   more than double that.
this is a  a NEED for me because it is the only gluten free pasta I truly like. It keeps my IBS symptoms under control.

We have had a lot of these one or two ring calls. I had no IDEA!!! Thanks! I love the photo edits, especially the colors.

Shame about that trailer... the boat is cute. I hear ya about the pricing mayhem... definitely need to look around because while it used to be that the Big A was equal to or less quite often, I have noticed of late that this may not be the case anymore. YAM xx

I've noticed that about Amazon too. Thanks for the warnings about the phone scam. 😟

Thanks for all the info on prices and the scams. Feel sorry for the boat owner.

The owner of that boat sure was having a bad day.
I don't answer calls if I don't recognize the number. I figure if I don't answer they'll leave a voicemail. If they don't leave a voicemail then it wasn't all that important any way.
That's kind of crazy about amazon. I guess it definitely pays to shop around.

That is sad for the boat owner. I agree on Amazon pricing. I can often find things cheaper in the local stores. However, sometimes it is easier to order and have it delivered free if it is not too much higher in price. If I factor into gas, time and car usage sometimes it is a wash.
Happy Weekend- xo Diana

Hello,

I have my phone set on all unknown phone numbers and calls going straight to voice mail. If they do not leave a message, it is usually spam. I feel sorry for that boat owner. Amazon is not always cheap. I try to shop around. Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend.

And add shipping handling & tax .... Amazon is atrocious. The other day I was at the grocery store & bought ingredients for lemon meringue pie (canned filling), and I thought with the price of eggs, I'll get just a carton of egg whites! Not on your life!!! $5.74 a quart!!!!

Loving your edits.

OMW, that poor man! I'd have been tempted to hang around to see how/if they got the boat safely secured.
Thanks for the warning about the one-ring callers. Tom can't stand not knowing and I fear he calls back. So far I've not noticed anything awry with the monthly bill, but I'm telling him anyway.

I'm on the fence (again) about Amazon. The hair spray I love is only available by private merchants and last time I looked it was $23 a can. Not happening!

PS - That editing you did to the first picture is so cool. Dark and dangerous. Reminds me of weather you might see in a scary movie -- or tornado coming.

Phone scams are terrible.
At least the Medicare health benefits calls have stopped..then its on to something else like the car warranty thing.
I just want to say...leave me alone!!! If I want something I will do it myself.
Great toon pictures too. That boat is going to cost a pretty penny to get out of there.
Speaking of costing...how did the plumber adventure go?

In Canada we have them also. I get them in the early mornings. I shut off my phone. Yes it is true. you get charged if you answer.
If I don't recognize the number . I can block them. And sometimes they come in with another number. Be aware. And if you get names like hi Marilyn or ticker bell. You know what that is. Lady on the browl for a man or she is desperate.
