I found the perfect lamp for the Found-on Curb Free Table!
Thrift Store, Ten Dollars!
the light bulbs now cost more than the lamp.
Do you remember when a lamp came with the base and lamp shade and bulbs were under a dollar. for FOUR.
the cheap lamps at Walmart now start at 39 for base, 30 for shade and 12 dollars for four bulbs.
OV VEY!
Thus The Thrift Shop

It is ADORABLE, and looks like it was made for the table. Plus it is very unusual. I did not know you went in thrift shops!
You sure find great bargains. It's lovely.
Yes, it's perfect, just perfect. Congratulaations!

That really is the perfect lamp for that table and room! YAM xx
As you have proved, you can get real treasures. They go so well together. The candle and that pretty holder is beautiful and well matched.
Very nice and unlike the Walmart lamps no one else on you street has got one. We are all in favour of finding pre-loved stuff and loving it some more. Xxx Mr T
I like that lamp. Very nice. Yes, thrift shops are the way to go. I think it's crazy that the shades are sold seperate. I had been looking for a new lamp for the living room for a long time. I gave up because they were so expensive and ended up taking one of the two lamps I had in the cave and putting it in the living room.
I haven't bought bulbs in a very long time. Wade worked as an incandescent mechanic for a shop that made light bulbs. He brought a ton home and they last a really long time. I have a nice supply that should last me the rest of my life.
Very pretty. We don't have curb side here, in fact if you leave stuff outside you can actually be fined. My son took a linen box and left it by a recycling bin for someone to take and got fined £400. It's made us wary of even putting books out on the wall for people to take.

Pretty lamp, I like the base. The candle and candle holder are pretty too. The thrift shops are great to explore for treasures. Take care, have a happy day!
I really do like that lamp - so soft and delicate - gentle colors - looks great on your table!
I love it! ... Probably on account I've a little metal vase/flower similar to the base of your lamp that once sat on my mother's nightstand.
The shape and shade really capture the feel of the curtains and the rocker, don't they?
You found a perfect lamp for the table and yeah to thrift shops being a great bargain. It is crazy how expensive lamp shades are and thankfully we haven't had to buy one in many years. Glad the bulbs last a long while these days.
OH my word that lamp is beautiful...and perfect for that location. When would anyone discard it?

What a fantastic find. I love everything about it, (especially the cost). It looks so perfect on that table too.
Loved your comment on my blog. Scripture embedded in our minds is good medicine.

Wow! That is the perfect lamp! Love the little roses!
That is SO pretty!! Just perfect!!! I love the details - and I love your bed linens!
That's such a beautiful lamp and I didn't know they now sell parts of a lamp separately. I remember my grandmother often referring to the "good old days" and now I find myself doing the same.
I read your other post too. Congrats on your anniversary.
We would have been married 36 years on the 21st. We planned for Valentine's Day, but Errol's grandmother died and he went to New Orleans for the funeral.
I also watched your city on that fabulous map you provided. I got so into it, I could have stayed there all day. You live in a beautiful place and watching it made me miss living close to the ocean.
The lamp looks really nice. It is a shame what things are costing today.
The lamp is just the right size for your table and soo attractive, what a bargain!
