Bedtime Story

I spent five days in bed with my pulled muscle. Feb 17th to Feb 21st.
Bored to tears. I found by placing the cell phone on Pillow Pad, I could continue my daily texting with my brother's wife.
we consider ourselves sisters. I have known her since I was 15.
Her parents were my parents' best friends.
We text each other every day and above is the text between us on Feb 22 when I told her I was going shopping at Walmart since I was once again able to walk upright.

TEXTING FROM BED was one of my entertainments. Her mother died while I was in bed, and on Saturday the day after the funeral, I sat the iPhone, the big 7 inch one, on the pillow and pushed Facetime.

I lucked out when I pushed Facetime, because I got my brother, his wife and both of their kids (both in late 40's)
I talked with their kids, and they left to go home.
Leaving me to entertain myself with my brother and his wife.
I snipped the screenshots, 5 of them, they did not know and never will because after looking at the photos, Facetime is off my list of things to do.

After enlarging the one below and seeing what I looked like on the bottom of my phone and realizing that look was full screen on their phone, there will be no more Facetimes.

Oh No He Didn't!!

He fell asleep! He will never know I took this and his wife did not know he fell asleep.

I want to know why the people on TV FaceTime and look like models?
Wondering how trees got in the photo of me FaceTime in bed?
I walked outside to talk because the race cars in the living room were drowning out the conversation.

hugs to your friends for their mom..... and he fell asleep? lol.... this happened as I met mark many centuries ago... we had a phonecall in the late evening and suddenly heard a weird noise ... he fell asleep too while I told him what a day I had.... that were warning signs, I sadly ignored them hahahahahaha

I have never facetimed with anyone. I would rather no one be able to see me...lol
That is too funny that your brother fell asleep.

I don't think your family are in the least worried about that image of you - it is the best thing to be able to talk face-to-face with loved ones, and all they see is YOU! YAM xx

Aw, your brother reminds me of Tom when his BF gets too long-winded. I'm just like you when it comes to Zoom meetings and Facetime -- noooo way, Jose. If you find the answer about why some people look like models, please let me know!

MS I love how you can make the very best out of a very bad and painful 5 days. It is a special gift and quite an inspiration. LOL I know you would rather not inspire under painful circumstances

So sorry you had to go through all of that. How wonderful to have her to text with. So sorry to hear about her mother's passing.

I've never used Facetime (looked it up just now and see it's an Apple product, so of course I haven't, as all mine are Android). I've used Skype from my tablet with my brother a few times (at Christmas) and that's been okay, we've not been sitting all that close to our screens then ;) I've also used Skype with a Swedish friend who lived in Australia for a number of years, but we both preferred to turn off the video and just voice-chat...

I text with all 4 of my sons and it sure has been fun. Everything I write goes to all of them! I hope you continue to feel better. Don't do too much!

I have used Face time a few times but only when I was prepared ie....dressed and some lipstick to not scare the other person.
I do go on a ZOOM call with my photo club but that's after I have made myself presentable.
Its good that you can talk to your brother and Sister in law. that's special to keep the close ties. So sorry about her Mom's passing. Its nice you could call and be some comfort.
Hope your back continues to be well and that Bob's is cooperating too.
Had a rough day with Lynne yesterday (I took her other care givers place for Sunday. Alzheimer's is so awful!!!

My diabetes NP meets with me on DUO, same thing, she looks like a 1930's movie star, I look like -- oh well, you can figure it out, I have no words. Those things are not for old folks.

But it was so lovely to read about you and your family. I loved it. As you know, I have no blood relatives that I'm in touch with, It's OK,but it was great to read about you and yours.
