Saturday Shopper Clothing

My WM friend and I created by AI

All of you, are my dear E-Friends. I have Shopper-Friends at Wal-Mart. Our WM store opens at 6 AM every day. On Saturday at 6 AM I am standing in front of the door and the second it opens I am IN. I have 4 shoppers and 4 employees that I see every Saturday. We chat!
This is my Away from Bob Home time.
I love to talk; I write like I talk, you know, this!  I might need a support group for addictive talking.

I forgot Bob's breakfast sausage this past Saturday. My errand list included picking up prescriptions at Publix. I rarely buy food there because it is the highest price in town. Having talked with my Swedish E-friend about nondairy yogurt, I stood staring at 8 thousand yogurts, trying to find one. I heard a voice say, "this is not Walmart!" and turned to find my Wal-Mart shopper friend standing there.

We chatted for a good 15 minutes, really good. We were on a roll. She is a tiny, very attractive 60ish Vietnamese lady. I am always shocked to find that we live almost identical lives, our hubbies are the same, dogs the same, we share a lot of things the same. As we said our goodbyes, see you Saturday and I walked to the check out, I suddenly had a Thought!

OH no! I had on my Saturday Shopping Clothes. I wear the same thing every week. The shirt is WARM for AC, the leggins have 2 pockets.

I thought SHE sees this outfit every week. She always has on different clothes.

I told to Bob when I came home and said I am mortified. She thinks I have no clothes but these.

He said, I am sure she did not even notice.

I said I AM Sure she Did! Remember the PA from the doctor's office that we used to see every Saturday shopping way back when you would shop with me?

What do you remember about her. Do you remember how we discussed if she had any other clothes?
Oh! he says. That was different!
WHAT? we talked about it every week when we saw her, even when we got home!
. She wore a similar out fit to this.
She did NOT look like this. I wish I looked Like This, and I would wear it to. Every Saturday!

do you notice what others are wearing? saying? doing? how they shop? do you watch the young men that are shopping for themselves. Watch their basket contents, not the men? HEH HEH
If you saw me once a week would you notice i always had on the same clothes?

I love to shop, so I usually am only concentrated on the merchandise. But Phil is a big people watcher. Once I am in line, I do look around. And always notice the Wal-Marters who are wearing P.J.'s and slippers. Don't worry what your friend thinks, at least you don't wear P.J.'s and slippers. Are most of the Wal-Marters sleepwalking? Or just not able to dress themselves. I make friends with the workers and cashiers.

Your Saturday morning shopping sounds so nice. I am oblivious to what people wear, unless they have pretty earrings on. I love earrings! Funny what we notice.

Hi Sandra :=)
We don't have a Walmart here, but I have never seen anyone in PJ's and slippers in any supermarket.Goodness who are people who can't be bothered to dress! I would notice those, but I'm not very observant, and would probably not notice if someone was wearing the same clothes, I would just be concentrating on my shopping and noticing how much things have gone up in price, or finding products that have been moved to other isles. I'm sure your friend never noticed your clothes, but even if she did, she would probably think you were wearing them for comfort, not because you had no other clothes.

I can't say that I notice - because I hardly ever go into shops. I get my groceries and other stuff online for the most part these days. That said, when I did do regular outside shopping, I am not sure that I would notice anyone's outfit - unless it was remarkable in some outstanding way! YAM xx

I am quite sure that I would not notice the clothing worn by others, other than if they showed up in a clown suit or something equally eye-popping. I am one of those who can comfortably wear the same clothing over and over again (laundered, of course) and often do. If it’s serviceable, comfortable and warm or cool depending on the season, why not? I certainly don’t need many clothes and I buy most of those at a thrift store.

I'm a people watcher and I would notice if someone was wearing the same thing all the time. I don't know that I would find anything wrong with it though unless it was dirty looking or the person smelled really bad. I have several of the same pair of pants and the same shirts that I wear to work so it LOOKS like I'm wearing the same thing but I'm really wearing a clean outfit every day. I think even more than clothes, I notice people's shoes.

I can see AI has found a friend in you. So glad you are having a good time shopping and meeting up with friends. I will not notice clothes unless they stand out in some way, gorgeous or garish.

BOL BOL on the same outfit. I bet she doesn't even remember what she was wearing the last time you met.

Hello,

I really do not pay much attention to people or their clothes while shopping.
She may not even have noticed what your were wearing. A lot of my clothes are similar, colors and style. So people probably think I wear the same clothes all the time too. Have a great day and happy weekend.

Like Ann, I rarely notice what outfits people are wearing -- unless it's pajamas or plain disgusting.

But ya, every Sunday morning I stew trying to remember if I wore a certain article of clothing the week before, or the week before that.
I'll never forget the time a couple years ago when we were at UAB. Dr. McDreamy's PA actually said, "I remember you because you wear that same outfit." I think she meant it in a nice way, but I was really embarrassed.

I laughed at this because this week I had a dental appointment, and it struck me (not for the first time) that I nearly always wear the same zipper training jacket when visiting the dentist's office, just because it's got very practical pockets. And as some of the nurses have been the same for years and years, sometimes I wonder if they notice... As for the supermarket, I don't always go the same time, and I do self-checkout, and never really notice other shoppers or speak to anyone (unless I happen to run into someone I already know, but that almost never happens).

I have this conversation with myself every SUnday morning while I am standing in my closet trying to find something to wear to church. I ask my husband "did I wear this last week?" and his answer is always "I dunno" Well ok, men probably don't notice such things I guess. Mine who wears whatever he pleases like a 10 year old Dennis the Menace. HA HA He does not care if he matches or not, only if it is comfortable.

I am guilty of thinking that when I am on the photography Zoom call. I think I can't wear the same top again...then I think, do I remember what others are wearing..nope, I haven't a clue so whatever.
I don't shop at the same time each week so I rarely see any one from the time before.
I have to admit that Dave and I have often talked about someone's weird outfit in the store but we have never seen anyone in PJ's or slippers.
Funny story about your Walmart friend and you.

I wouldn't notice, or if I did I would think you're sensible. Andy and I always wear the same kind of clothes. It saves a lot of time thinking about what we want to wear.

I rarely go to that place but I always do notice the goofy ones there in their pajamas.

Like Ginny I have seen people out shopping in pj's and slippers. What kind of person does that? I make assumptions about them. As for wearing same or similar clothes I applaud it. It works and its not wasteful. I think of clothes as a tool for life warmth, protection from sunburn (and embarrasment), pockets, protection from dirt or chemicals. I don't think of them as decoration. Your personality is your decoration, your smile, that fact you speak to people, listen to people, share stories.... much more memorable than what someone is wearing.

I like to talk to people too but I don't have regulars other than bowling on Wednesday's. That's something that you saw here at Publix. I don't watch what other's are wearing. I think that if I saw you every Saturday I would notice your clothes.
