| Manatee River at low tide. The docks belong to the UBER Rich. Once Bob was wade fishing waste deep, going around the dock, and a famous football player ran out on the dock and told him he was on private property to get out of his year. Bob responded, Florida law is you can't own anything that is covered by the water. your dock is yours and I am not touching it, the sand I am in is mine. the response was, I am calling the police. He said go for it, I will be right here when they come. No one came. |

I just heard today that measles is on the rise again.
Why in the world don't pet owners and parents get their babies vaccinated.

CAN you get dogs vaccinated against distemper? (of course there is human vaccination for measles but there seems to be a generation who have grown up without seeing the worst effects of a measles epidemic and haven't bothered to protect their kids.) The walk looks lovely - shame people think they can somehow own beauty and exclude others from the appreciation and enjoyment of it. Same here and in NZ - you can't own the water (in NZ the non-ownership is right up to the high tide mark - even when the tide is out).
Good for Bob! I love the wide sandy trail, the third photo with the big fat palm trees, and the next one with the big gnarled tree on the right.

Such a pretty trail. I'd spend my time admiring the water views too. That idiot football player, that is why I quit watching that sport years ago.

What a miserable so-and-so to accuse Bob of trespassing. Wouldn't his be an unhappy state of mind, all the time worrying about what's HIS or that someone's out to take advantage?

Hi Sandra This park gets better each time I see your photos. The views are fabulous and I love the twisted trunk of the tree, and the winding paths.The super rich footballer was so mean, but Bob put him in his place!
