I am so easily entertained. While reading this POST on An English Girl Rambles, I admired her photos that had images of sharp curtains with bokeh blurred cat face looking in the window. I said in comments, I used to do that when I had a camera, but its hard to do with a cell phone.
Did you guess what I did next? Of course I played with cell phone and the laptop in my lap until I could do it.
Everybody grab your cell and see if you can do bokeh blur backgrounds. I played for half an hour, coming soon to a blog near you. YOU KNOW IT
Above focus is on laptop, below focus on TV
I miss my DSLR but am slowly finding most things can be doe with the cell
Well I did say Let me entertain ME... I walked over to the NOOK and well... you know the rest of the story..

That's great! We love the focus on the Mad Snapper!
You are gorgeous in the last photo. I love the top, and remember when you bought it at W.M. What a difference this makes, focus on opposite things. Did not know you could do that on anything but a regular camera.
all eyes on you! we love your smile

Oh that's funny - I was checking out all the different tools and options on my camera phone at the weekend too!!! One can do almost everything that can be done with a standrard camera - not quite 100% but enough to make it so convenient that the dear old Hisstix is hardly every lifted now. Though I did give it a stretch on the super moon... YAM xx
You are the shining example of the phrase "where there's a will, there's a way". I love how you figure things out and then practice them.
As long as it entertains you...it entertains us!
I am very proud of myself. I have learned to speak, text and retrieve voice mail. See how learned and sophisticated I am!
What Jean just said! You know I love the black and white.
I never heard of bokeh blur backgrounds but will be checking it out as soon as I drop the girls at their groomer.
I love photos from you Nook and of course all the sparkly lights
Hugs Cecilia
I love the photos and your pretty smile!
Take care, have a great day!
I love the focus you did on "ME". I can see in the photo how happy you are that you accomplished what you set out to do...WOO HOO. Isn't it fun to learn new things with all the technology that we use everyday? My granddaughter has taught me a lot of things...thank goodness for the younger generation who has full knowledge of how all this stuff works. Good for you!! I'm glad you posted these pics.
Well, we love how you entertain us too!
My Android camera offers that feature but I didn't know it's called bokeh. Had to look it up:
"The bokeh effect is a photographic technique that intentionally blurs out parts of an image to create a soft, aesthetic quality. The word "bokeh" comes from the Japanese word boke, which means "blur" or "haze"."
Thanks. I learned something new and was entertained.
Blessings. 😊
You never cease to amuse yourself. Glad you love learning new things. I love your photos in the nook. You look fabulous.
You never ever run out of things to check out. You are amazing. Good for you!
I love the way you entertain yourself AND us! Looks like you figured out how to create the blurry(bokeh) look. I was amazed how well my phone created it with my Christmas tree lights(on Monday's post). Pretty soon DSLRs will be a thing of the past...
To keep learning is good exercise for the brain, too! :)
You are an amazing woman!
I wish I had your Drive to learn and experiment. I seem to be getting very Dull in my old age.
Love the Bokeh and the black and white is great.
Keep at it !
Feeling better but just plain blah today. Don't think there will be any Bokeh in my plans for the day...(:0)

I didn't know that was a deliberate thing to do...it just happens sometimes. LOL. I loved the story about the cat...I went and read it. And I love what YOU did too, and seeing YOU in the focus is a real treat!! You are lovely!! And so is your pretty nook that you created! I don't use my "real camera" as much now either, except for distance photos of birds on the pond, etc., things where I need the telephoto lens. My cellphone camera isn't real great at distance shots, except for sunsets. It's much better at capturing the colors of sunrises and sunsets than my real camera. Amazing what technology has accomplished in our life time! Thank you for entertaining YOU, and in turn, you entertained US!
We wouldn't want it any other way - YOU should be the focus of your entertaining blog. Love the bokeh blurred effect.
