No, it is not Easter, I am not doing Easter before Christmas.. Above is what I drew to practice on. I wanted to make my creations look 3-D, pop out, not look flat. I watched the tutorial SIX times
I just drew the circles and I needed 2 objects to practice with. I finally got it but the next day could not remember what I did
I drew the rabbit with circles because it was easy, and played with it for over an hour, I did a lot of rabbits, and deleted and did more, hoping if I repeated the steps it would stick in the old brain and hope now i can use this for other drawings. see how flat the back rabbits are and how the middle steps out?
When I get stressed, or sad, worried and fretting, I can stop my mind from playing videos of what IF, by drawing/painting. I is not about the finished product, it is another way to calm my thinker brain, other than reading. These are how I entertained myself during power outage
Sending the light, I am holding around the world by MadSnapper hold the light high, LOVE other to bring peace |
Each year when I receive notice of the annual Blog 4 Peace, the thought crosses my mind how does this help. This year I received this Link now I know how and what to do.
Below is part of the article on the link, read it please and to read the rest follow the link.
This year's THEME is...
Hold The Light
When was the last time you held the Light for someone?
These days it seems that the whole world is stumbling around in darkness. If we listen to the loudest and most critical voices, we can easily come to that conclusion.
But it's not so.
We don't have to watch people stumble or be confused. We don't have to respond. We don't have to add to the momentum of suffering and deceit in this world by default.
Do you know that there are people who need you to hold the light for them?
Hold space. Hold the line. Hold the Light.
We're all having a hard time right now.
I'm not talking about judging them or trying to convince them to go your way - there's too much of that happening already.
We can love people without agreeing with them.
Can't we?

Yes! That's the best use of drawing, other creative projects.
That is a great idea.
they look like the rabbits who live next to our walking area... and we bet they are shady characters... as soon as they see us, they run away like thieves and evil doers... ha!

There are folk who make their money providing art therapy... You've managed your own free of charge. That itself impresses me, never mind the skills you're developing! YAM xx

I spotted you had reposted and am glad I returned to check out why... I totally forgot about B4P this year... partly because I have been busy holding the light for someone... Love and Light to you dear blogpal!!! YAM xx
If it’s therapeutic for you, keep doing it. I can think of no better reason. I hope my life involves holding the light for people. I will keep it top of mind today.
Good morning,
Your rabbits are cute, your art work does look fun. You should keep doing things that make you happy. I read a lot just to take my mind off the terrible things happening. I try not to judge anyone, especially if I do not know the whole story. More love and less hate is needed in our world. Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
I love your bunny drawings, and also the "Hold the Light" for Peace picture of your sunset! That was beautiful! and I love what you shared with us about the "Hold the Light" blogging idea. That is what I am trying to do as well. You are right, there is so much darkness and negativity in the world, especially right now, and we need to be the Light in the darkness for others to see. And again, you are right, we don't have to agree with everyone to love them. Many of my family members that we visited while on our vacation are of a different "persuasion" than we are politically. One of my nephews even said to me, "Aunt Pam, I hope I don't offend you with things that I post on Facebook". I told him that first and foremost that I love him, and that politicians will come and go, but we will still be family, and blood is thicker than water. We may not always agree on things, politics, or even religion, but we can still love one another. That's what is most important...and also you can win a lot more people with honey than vinegar. So let us be the light in the darkness for so many who have lost their way and need to know how to find their way out. Being a ray of sunshine is a happy way to spend our days, rather than always being a storm cloud. I love your post and am happy to have you as one of my friends!!!
The art therapy is healthy and fun! Well done you.
I do try to "hold the light" of Jesus as possible for others to see. I'm sure I mess up, miss some, and ignore those I shouldn't. I'm broken too but I'll do the best I can by sharing the Gospel.
Keep drawing and creating! You're encouraging me to keep going too.
Hope we don't have another storm coming. I'm ordering more generator propane, stocking up supplies, etc. "just in case".
Sending love & prayers.
This is great therapy and you are doing very well.. Your drawings are very impressive. I love the message of spreading the light. This is what we are called to do. I agree...we do not all have to agree, but we are to love each other. Thank you for sharing...
Yes, this is so true! do not judge people, and things you do not agree on, just avoid those subjects. God made everyone different for a good reason. I see how your middle rabbit is way out in the front, so cool!!! I have not seen anything this in all of Blogland!
I love how you've discovered these exercises -- not to do anything with them necessarily, but to divert your thoughts. Hurray!
This is a wonderful message -- and so very timely. I'm going to share it with my Bible study ladies in a little while.
I LOVE YOUR HOLDING THE LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, we can love people who think differently than us - we have to.
Nice little devotion.
Your rabbits were 3D - that was awesome.
I am late I had my Medicare Senior wellness this morning
OMDs spelling in reverse, remembering words, then speaking of drawing they gave a photo of 2 geometric figures I had to draw just like them. I can hardly draw a straight line with a ruler. YIKES. BUT I passed LOL. I really like your world peace picture

I am so glad you have your drawings to go too. I don't have a hobby like that and I think it would help me to find one because my days have been very hard for me. The center bunny looks great. I used to do a blog for peace post. That saying is beautiful. Hope your week goes well. Take care.
That's good that you found something you could still do during the storm, to keep your mind focused on something else.
Drawing is such good therapy, even for those of us without that talent. We all need to keep holding the light.
I love your creativity and holding onto that light, that's beautiful! Hold onto yours my friend :)
I am so glad you have found an outlet for your mind to relax!
Everyone needs to have something to help deal with stress. Your art creations must be of great benefit to you, and the bonus is that we get to enjoy them too. We have division in our bigger family too, but Mom says the rule is when we are together as family, no politics allowed. We don't get to be together often enough to let negativity take over.

Terrific creativity. Love the drawing for a mind cleanser. Being the light and holding the light for others is what we all ought to be doing. I try to do that especially for my friends Lynne and her daughter Karen.
