All went well with the Melanoma and Volcano Removal. NO blood during the night and no pain for either of us.
I have a tip to share. I found the roll you see above, in the Dollar General store for just over a dollar. It is meant to use under glassware by placing it on the shelves, to keep them from sliding around and protect the glass. Having just struggled to get the lids off these bottles, I thought, cut these into squares and use them as bottle/jar openers.
Shocked to the core at how easy it is to open the lids with help from the square, I wanted to share it with YOU, my dear blogger friends. I opened a jar of olives without asking for help from hubby. One thing led to another, like the light of the sun shining through the bottle and here we are
6 years ago I purchased 2 round bottle openers made of rubber and they are worn out and I could not find replacements. cut two squares or circles, one for the bottom, one for the lid. Bob had to open each 1/2 gallon of my Vanilla Soy milk. I can do it myself now.
Make Do is my middle name.

oh how good that the evil is gone and you had a good night... we hope for super news when they check the wound area...
A great tip, I have a hard time opening jars and bottles. Thanks for sharing! Take care, have a great day!
I have heard that this stuff works good for opening jars and bottles. Glad to know that it's true. Some of those drink bottles are so hard to get open.
I have used that occasionally..seems like small lids are the hardest to grip for me..but I just use anything any more and it helps me grip....
I am the self- appointed President of the University of David and I hereby bestow upon you an honorary Doctorate of Engineering. You are nothing if not ingenious!

I've been using that stuff for this purpose for years - it's a kind of magic! Glad you have also discovered it. Anything that makes life easier, eh what? YAM xx
So, I woke this morning thinking of y'all and wondering about your pain levels. Not ... hurray!
I never would have thought about this hack, but will be adding a roll to my Dollar Tree list. Last time I tried opening a stubborn jar of spaghetti sauce it almost flew out of my hands. You can imagine the rest!
The older we get, the harder it is to open bottles and jars. Thanks for the tip. I'm so glad you both got through your surgeries and did well afterwards.
First of all....I am thankful that you both are doing well and that there was No extra bleeding.....You have created a NEW invention. What a smart thing to figure out about this roll. Just think of how many jars and water bottles can be opened from this one roll. Great tip today!! I will being buying a roll of this magic foam.
Sandra and Bob I am so happy to read your surgeries went well
and no over night pressure was need. Healing hugs to you both

I am so happy to hear that both of your appointments went well. Wow, that is awesome how that works to open things up for you. Glad you found it!
That’s very happy news for you both. A relief to get it behind you. Thanks also for the tip, a great idea.
Good to know all went well during the night...and into the future I pray.
I use a wide rubber band for the same reason, to open bottles and jars. Sometimes on stubborn jars, I run the lid under hot water for a bit.
I have a lot of those shelf liners, but I learned the hard way, not to use them on varnished wood...think shiny, cause they leave a very hard to remove residue. Ruined the piano bench that way...sigh...at least I can hide that with a runner over it! LOL! Make do is my motto, too.
I'm so happy the surgeries went well. And thanks for the tip!
I have a metal jar opener contraption that I've had for years that I think I got from either Fuller Brush or Stanley Home Products. (I used to sell both of those). We always called it a "husband beater", because it could open jars and bottles that even a husband would have trouble opening (or if there was no husband around to open them). However, even that is getting hard for me to use...(I should share a picture of it and see if anyone else has one or knows what it is). I think YOUR idea is better. We used to have a rubber disc that you could grip things with, but yes, they wear out in time. That might have been a Tupperware item. Not sure. Anyway, I appreciate your hack for this as it is simple and easy and when you buy a roll of that stuff you can cut them to whatever size you want and have enough to spare and share! Great idea! Thank you. And I love your photos of your water bottle in the sun, etc. You are super clever. Also so thankful your Dr. appt. went well for both of you and that all is well. Praise God! Great news. Have a lovely rest of your day/week.
What a great idea! I am definitely going to give it a try!
Under Great Minds Think Alike: You stole my Christmas idea with the rubber non-slip mats! I was gonna cut them into squares, add a cloth decoration to the other side, sew together, and they are for opening jars, etc. I saw that on one of those Tic-Tok video's.
Praise God about the Doc appt that went well and neither of y'all are not having any pain or having any blood letting. Hope the good feelings continue.
It was a gorgeous mid-40s, high of mid-60s here today. I sure do enjoy this weather.
Love.
This is a fabulous idea! And I just bought this too!!! Her Madness at her finest.
I'm so glad the surgery went well. That's a cool roll and most useful too!
Like that idea of opening stuck bottle caps. Must try it. I have some in my drawers (those sheets)
That is BRILLIANT. I have that stuff and as my hands are packing up I am going to make use of it for that. BRILLIANT BRILLIANT I say.
