The Week End and the Backyard Stump

When you last saw the stump of the pine tree removed from our trashed yard, it looked like this, Our chainlink fence and NO privacy fence that had fallen over. The fence is UP and I got a bee in my bonnet to make that stump look better, I used the hose to find the rocks that were buried after I raked all the trash and put in the big blue trash can.. I have been watering it daily and stuff is starting to grow. I intended to plant ferns on it but gave out, to pooped to plant

I have small trees I could plant but the dirt has so many roots there is no way for us to dig a hole.

you can't see them, but there are two of these Emilia, aka Red Tassel Flowers, Bob found them in the side yard, I picked them and put in the glass and the next morning they were even more open.. I transplanted both plants in the stump pile. They are growing bigger each day. the link says they are invasive, Woo Hoo, invade that stump dear Emilia....

Above is what I have transplanted on the stump pile. the red one is Emilia, there are two of them, and the others are moss ross saved from the old stump in the front yard and a 3rd one I did not get a photo of. there is enough dirt to support flowers, and I might just try sowing seeds.

UPDATE ON THE BANYAN STUMPS AND THE OAK STUMPS WITH THE HEART OF HOPE.
THE OAKS ARE GONE, AND THERE IS ONLY HALF OF THE EACH OF THE BANYAN STUMPS LEFT. THEY WILL BE GONE SOON. THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS COMING BACK WELL FROM THE MONSTER STORM MILTON

Given your subtropical climate, and your determination, I am sure it is going to look lovely again very soon. You have invested a lot of energy into this already, Sandra. You are an inspiration to us all.

I love the hope name... we all should have something we give a name and maybe the wish we hope for will grow and comes true

I love how you have determined in your heart to make this stump a garden of beauty. Although it seems a long time away, by summer, I am guessing this stump will be the center of a unique piece of art. HOPE is all around!!

Do you have any trees left on your property? I love how you care for the stumps, many people, me included, would just let them sit and be stumps.

What's that old saying, "Hope blooms eternal." I never heard of an Emilia, but love the name. Thank you for keeping us informed of your progress; as you know, lots of us are thinking of you every day.

Super cool flower! I've learned something new. I like pretty little flower and the name. Hope they do well there. You are indeed an inspiration to us all. By Spring the stump should also have mushrooms growing from it as God reclaims it to make more soil. It's all part of His beautiful plan to keep things clean for us.
This week is Thanksgiving! Where did the time go!?
Hope y'all are getting some of this lovely cool temperatures we've been experiencing in SE Georgia. It feels absolutely yummy!
Love. 😊

How cool is that. The stump will be a blooming beauty in no time. Just think of all the photo ops that will come from it.

That stump will soon be the prettiest stump in town!! And thank you for naming "Emilia". I have some of those growing in our yard too, and I love them. I love the little wildflowers that pop up out of the dirt and smile at us with their bright colors and cheer us up when everything else looks like a disaster ground. Your "disaster ground" is being reclaimed by nature and you soon won't even remember how it looked before. Yes, enjoy the little gifts God sends you up from His earth. They are sent to you with His love.

We know you don't like to be stumped! I'm so glad to hear that the neighborhood is bouncing back.

My father used to say 'nature abhors a vacuum- meaning that something will nearly always grow, adapt to the space that no one else wants. Keep us posted on progress. I can't wait to see it covered and flowering.

I'm glad your community is starting to looks better. So you are keeping that stump? It looks like there will be a lot of growth around it. So many leaves to get up!
