Florida Christmas

I needed a sweater because we have been in a freezing cold 10 days. Freezing in Florida is a low of 45 and high of 68. Kid you not, we FREEZE when it drops below 70.
I stepped into a winter wonderland, Florida Style in Bealls Outlet store. It is only 6.10 of a mile from my home and is next door to Publix and Dollar Tree.
This is what I saw

If you saw my painted Christmas Card yesterday you might recognize what I used as my subject to paint the card.
all but one small table were pastels and shades of aqua and pink... Enjoy!

and the only red was this most precious Pup and my Favorite.

I love all the pastels!!! I actually have the little pink camper with the lights around it! It is in the kitchen now.

The pastels are pretty, but I like old-fashioned red better. The displays do look more like Florida, though!

that looks wonderful.... I agree for the cold weather... even when canadian people grin and thing oh no t-shirt weather today, when I speak about 1 °c and an arctic collapse here... ;o)))))

Hello,
The pastels are fitting for a Florida Christmas.
I have a few favorites, I always love the Santa Claus figurines and the nutcrackers. The dog is cute! Take care, have a great day!

If you feel cold, dress appropriately - doesn't matter what the figures! For tropical weather, those decorations are very suitable. Acclimatisation and adaptation - that's the point of this post! YAM xx

Such cute decorations. We were up to the 40's here the last couple days and to us it felt warm.

I suppose that the overall conclusion is that you should dress in a manner that makes you feel comfortable.

Though the pastels are cute, I will take traditional. We had 50s yesterday...and a few minutes if sun!

I once received a Christmas card from Australia with Santa sunning on the beach. Such fun

So cute! I really like the second to the last picture with the house and camper.
I can believe you are freezing. It all depends what you're used to.
I'm freezing here too and I'm afraid it's going to get worse. :(

So, I'm sitting here in my collegiate hoodie and may have to trade it for a short-sleeve t-shirt. Wish Mother Nature would make up her mind!

That pup is so cute. If I was standing there, I'm pretty sure he would have to come home with me. (Wouldn't that confuse Macie and Grace?) Those displays practically shout,
"Florida!", don't they? The snowbirds must be beside themselves.

All of those Christmas displays are so pretty. It’s hard to pick the one I like the best. The pastels are nice. I don’t shop much but I don’t believe I have seen any of the Florida pastels - but you know how it goes. I just said that and now I’ll start seeing them everywhere! lol
Sorry it’s been so cold. Is this normal for it to be so cold for this long?
We’ve been in the mid to high 60’s but cold at night which will change as the storm door is opening later this week.!

The Santas look very much like they got fed up with the cold weather and decided to move to Florida, where they happily adjusted to the warm weather, ditched their red outfits to better match with the other snowbirds.

I have to admit I did like the pastel Santa's - but red is my choice.
So, you didn't say whether or not you got a sweater. Stay warm.

I have to say that they are really cute items and those are definitely Florida colors. I love the little cottage with that camper and snowman in front of it. The Santa's in those colors are cute too!

Brrr to you on your "winter" weather. It was 33F. this morning and heavy frost on all the roofs. Of course I didn't get up and get my camera to record the frost.. Too cozy under my blanket.
I guess I am a traditionalist for the most part and love my Christmas Red and Green,
But
That Pink Santa looking at me might have found its way into my cart. I love, love, love that face. Wonder how much it is selling for.
Of course that Pup is absolutely darling. Think he would be by the door all year long even if he has a Santa hat on him.

60 would feel so good to Mom here as it has been very cold for a couple of weeks.

The Christmas decor you showed is all so pretty. Mom has a collection of papier mache Santas and has been looking for one to add to her group.

We spent the Christmas season in CA, 18 years ago awaiting the birth of our grandson. It was vastly different seeing palm trees instead of pine trees. Thanks, Sandra, for this shopping tour.
