Glasses and Palm Trees, OH My!

I stood in the sun, to take the shot of my glasses, because in the shade they disappeared and yes, my eyes are squinted because I was blind and could not see the screen when I took this selfie. I may have cropped the wrinkles and chins out of the photo. Focus on the Glasses.

I paid more for these new glasses than I paid for my first car in 1963, a 56 Chevy, that was only $500.00
I wear only Silhouette, because they have no rims and weigh nothing and I don't know they are on my face. Rimless also allows me better peripheral vision.
A few days later Bob and I were in the lobby of his primary care physician, and I sat admiring these and wanting to take them home.
You can guess what I did next?

It was instant love. This office is 2 miles from our beaches and is decorated with paintings of  beach scenes. I took them home as photos.
I tried to paint my own. Copy Cat Fail

I started with this
 and this
and this and deleted both and

and started over

and ended with these, close but no bananas...
I may keep trying and I may not

Those are awesome paintings? in your doc's office!
I too love the rimless galsses. My new pair will come in hopefully this week...but yes crazypants expensive, even with vision insurance. Yikes! Keep on trying to emulate your pictures from the doc';s office, one day you just migh get it! Good thing you took pictures to inspire you, not just from memory.

And BTW, I loved the previous post about Yahweh, I shall have to try that, a better thing than praying myself to sleep. I think I am disrespectful when I do that...

Great "spectaculars". New ones here last month too, and yeah: equal to a mortgage payment (tho I no longer pay a mortgage, haha) ... insane. And didn't even include lots of the "extras", too $$$. PS: now to complain again, do wish you'd take a second to add your Daily Link to the CB, would make it so much easier to VISIT your posts, SERIOUSLY ... since you don't have subscribe by mail. One has to remember to visit here, me? I'm too forgetful each day, sorry ...

You almost can't tell that you even have glasses on.

I almost can't see you're wearing glasses! I never thought rimless was for me, but now I'm intrigued about the peripheral improvement. I'll probably start with those at the Dollar Tree before taking the $$$ plunge, however.

I like the glasses! I tested rimless out at the eye doctor but they don't recommend it for me because my glasses are too thick, bad eyes!
I love that art too!

I like them and very much worth the $$$ when you wear them all the day. I recently bought my first pair prescription sunglasses. Thankfully I had some very nice frames from many years ago that I used. Just had to pay for lens
Hugs to you and Double B's

I'm also a big fan of rimless glasses...and I make them even more expensive because they darken when I am outside!

I like them too Sandra - $500 for glasses are not too bad - not sure what all is on them though.
Hey, tell your doctor when he remodels - and they do - you'd like the picture or ask where they got it. Then you could put it up.
You did a good job copying though.

Your glasses look great on you. I don't wear rimless glasses, but I do have very light weight wire rim glasses. Lucky for me when I went to get new glasses this year (my old pair was 2 years old) they had the exact frame available, so I didn't even have to decide on a new style!

I love your glasses.

I love the palm fronds too. Beautiful.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to handsome Beau. ♥

I wear silhouettes too. I love them and agree that I don't even know I am wearing them. I like having no rims too. They are more expensive but worth it to me.
I like the palm fronds..keep working at it, you're almost there.
Its been spritzing on and off today and at least the yard is getting a decent drink...AND
I "can't" go out and pull more weeds..oh darn!!
Hang in there Girlfriend

glasses can be very expensive, especially with a complex prescription. Mom is glad that after years of wearing glasses and /or contacts, her cataract surgery took all that away, at least for now.

Not a fail at all - we think your creations are quite pretty.

You are so funny...I love opening your post and reading about your new adventure for the day. Your glasses look great on you and FYI, I see no wrinkles and no squinted eyes. I like all of these prints that you did. It's great when you find inspiration if the most unusual places... Happy last day of March.

I'm glad you like your new glasses, and I love your first picture of the leaves (on the white background).

My glasses only have frames on the top. No frames at all would be even better.

The glasses look great, but definitely costly. They palm tree branches came out great. I especially like the first one.
