Dementia LOOMS, or maybe I am just crazy....
I have 14 black T-shirts hanging in my closet.
Scoop neck, Round neck, V-neck
different lengths, butt long, all different lengths, some below butt long and slight scoop and long scoop in back.
Above t-shirt on the left came with the knot on one side.
the one on the right was straight, longer in back, I used a hair clip to hold up one side.
When dressing to take bob to heart doc, I wanted the clip one. It's warmer and the office is cold. Twice through the shirts and not there.
I yanked out the one on the left and dropped I over my head and ran out the door fussing about where was the clip one.
Back home again, as I removed the blouse I had on, I noticed it was the clip one, I could not find it because I HAD IT ON. OMW!!!!!!!!
Earlier that day I jumped out of bed and I ran in the kitchen and wrote gabapentin on a pink sticky to put on my wallet to remind me to ask the doctor if it might help bob's legs.
As I stuck it on my wallet, I pulled out the white paper to see what it was, and it said....
GABAPENTIN
Our dog Beau has been on the drug for 2 and a half years and it works on his legs. What's good for the dog should be good for Bob. Just Sayin
I did get bob there, I did ask, and Doc did call it in, and we are trying it, both notes worked, I did not lose my keys or get lost on the way to doc office.
We are testing it starting with 1 each night for a week, 2 each night for a week and if that doesn't help 3 each night for a week and back to the doc to report how it worked.
He has no slept more than 3 hours in a row for 2 years, because of his legs burning.
The past 4 nights he slept 6 hours. we are hoping they will help with his walking, which is really bad.

I sometimes walk around looking for my car keys when they are in my hand! Maybe there’s a message in this story - don’t have 14 tee shirts all the same colour!
Hello,
I can not count how many times I have looked around for something. I hope the medicine works for Bob. Take care, have a great day!
It is said "youth is wasted on the young". Now, what was it I really meant to say? Sorry I forgot ................

Yeeechh....
I had Mac1 in for Sunday (vege) roast dinner last week. I had a paper liner for the air fryer but wanted the silicon dish to put the tatties and not-chook in. It was not where I always put it. Mac1 said what about in the with pots basket. Why would I put it there? Nonsense. Later that evening, while clearing up and putting the saucepan back in the pots basket........... YAM xx
LOL, that sounds like something I have done, looking for something that I had on. I've also walked around trying to find my phone when it was in my back pocket the whole time helping me look for lit.
Hope the med helps Bob. Sounds like it already has if he's sleeping longer.
We do this sort of thing a lot. Forget to forget and it's always something important. You're not alone.
I'm glad the meds are working. Sleeping that much longer is a good sign the medicine is working.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, my friend. Scritches to Beau. ♥
Fingers crossed the new medicine works miracles

Sandra, there is no way with all that is going on in your life - you can't be in total control of your mind - you have too many things rolling around in it at the same time. That is what I tell myself - stress is the problem and I wish I knew how to take care of it - as I do the same thing.
I am sorry about Bob's legs - and I am glad he got a little more sleep.
Getting older takes courage.
This sounds like something I would do!
I think the Gabapentin is a good idea. I had many patients helped by it!
Now I've got black shirt envy! Don't feel bad about wearing what you were searching for -- not once, but twice now I've been looking for my cell phone -- all the while looking for it.
I'm anxious to hear if the Gabapentin doesn't work the way you hope!
Whoops ... that should read, "all the while holding it."
you had me laughing ..I would love to have seen your face when you realized you had the shirt on!! hoping that the gab works for Bob.
The gabapentin works for Sunny, we hope it works for Bob!
Easy enough mistake to make in a stressful situaiton (and with 14 T-shirts the same colour in your wardrobe...) Hope your idea about trying that medicine for Bob turns out helpful!
Prayers for the new meds to work. It does sound like they are giving Bob more needed sleep.
Too funny on the wayward shirt. Guilty of doing the same type of thing myself.
Hang in there Girlfriend !!

Hey, your doing just fine. It's just too much on your mind. I am happy to hear that he slept that long without pain. Praying it continues to work for him.
I hope the Gabapentin works for Bob. Sometimes all you can do is laugh. You are dealing with way too much to worry about getting confused sometimes. Take care of yourself the best you can. Much love.
I do the same things! I have looked for my monitor when I have it on. I may even be worse, because one word might not work for me. I would read Gabapentin and think "Well, what about it?"
Glad to hear the meds seem to be helping. My husband is on Gabapentin for his restless legs, and it has made a world of difference.
Your moment with the missing T-shirt gave me a chuckle—it’s amazing how often we misplace something only to find we had it all along. But beyond that, the way you’re approaching Bob’s treatment with such care and persistence is truly admirable. Sleep deprivation can be so debilitating, and it’s encouraging to hear that there’s been some improvement. Fingers crossed that the gradual adjustment continues to help with both his sleep and mobility.
By the way, I’ve just shared a new post. I’d love for you to take a look and share your thoughts.
Sadly, I also belong to the "Where did I put/where is it" club.
Glad that Bob is seeing some improvement. sounds like he has had some rough days.
I sure hope that works for Bob, I really do!
I don't think you are dealing with dementia, you are having too much on your mind so it does silly things. Its called systems overload!! (My words for it).
Happens to me too sometimes.
Hope that gabapentin will help Bob.
I hope the meds help Bob. I bet you look great in every t shirt. I have been doing that a lot lately.
I say, put notes all over the house if you need to! And yay on you thinking of the gabapentin! I'm so glad it's helping Bob. Keep us updated.
In my experience, something I have misplaced always turns up in the last place I have looked. Why is that so and it seems the same hapoened to you, Sandra.
