Life in the Fast Lane-As The World Turns

As the world turns, I keep up with meds, and other things by using the alarm on my phone. We no longer live Life in The Fast Lane, but life with walkers and wheelchairs, alarm clocks to remind me give Bob, Beau and myself our meds. From abandoned walkers and towels on the ground to remembering to fill the dogs water bowl, and remind Bob and me to drink more water.Bob's UltraSound of arteries in his legs, was good, per the tech, we see the cardiologist tomorrow for him to tell us the same thing. I had to use the loaner wheel chair to get bob in and out of the office and when we came home he toppled over in the middle of the living room floor, while using the walker
As I sit typing this update, LATE because I was on my feet working from 4 am to 8 am and had not time to type. I laid down and propped up my 80 year old legs, and and now I am On Duty again.

I am watching for the Amazon Driver to bring the $154.00 dollar People Mover,
in order to take him to doctor appts, tomorrow and who knows how many others because no one seems to know why he falls down when he stands up while reading emails announcing the last two test at the Cardio were $180 each. 😕

NOTE: I will be both posting and reading/commenting sporadically because I have so much to do I can't keep up but still need outside contact with all of you. Please Understand, if you are reading others posts and see I commented on it and did not comment on yours, it is not because I don't love you as much as them, you did nothing to upset me, but the simple fact I gave out before I got to your blog because I was Rushing around in my new LIFE in the FAST Lane.

Signed, The Last Woman Standing, waiting for the semi headed my way!

PS my post may also be sporadic and if I die or faint or fall down someone will let you know..I assume they will let me make my one call from jail if I lose it.😁😁 Don't Panic! IT's Not Easy to Stop The Mad Pioneer Woman..

Hello,
I would think you are very busy there, caring for Bob and Beau. Too busy for blogging. I hope Bob is OK after falling. I hope the doctor gives him the all clear too. Take care of yourself too.

I hope things can calm down for you and answers can be found. Rest when you can.

Totally understand! You have a lot going on. Go ahead and put up those feet and take care of yourself, too.

Take care of you, my friend. You're doing so much for Bob and Beau. Just saying.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to handsome Beau. ♥

Had almost identical "transporter" chair all the years of caring for my Mom, and then for Vic during his years of chemo, etc. Think you'll appreciate having it, easy to use. Not meaning to play "doctor", but is his BP stable, seems the
falling when rising might be associated with BP changes??? My heart is with you, as a "many years caregiver", try, as hard as it is to Take Care Of You always ...

Sandra I sure do wish I could help you somehow....please take care of you too. You are the heart and soul of the house and the glue that keeps everyone together.
Hugs and lots of prayers

I have to say I am inclined to think along the lines of BP sudden drop as well - it's a common disorder as we age. I am sure the Cardio bloke will be onto that. I would hope so, for the money charged! Sometimes the specialists get so caught up in the specialism, the simple can pass them by. Don't fret about blogs - focus needs to be right in front of you for now. Just know we are all here when you need us! YAM xx

Totally understand, I remember all too well how it was with my parents (and I didn't live with them, and could not drive them anywhere, just helped with things like paperwork and certain phone calls).

Aww friend, I totally understand. Praying for you in this different chapter of your life. Praying that they find out what's going on with Bob too. I'm sure this is hard on him to not be in control.
You, my Dear must take care of your self too. Rest for a while. The "stuff" will still be there to deal with later.
(((hugs)))

I set timers for so many things but mainly appointments and birthday's. This news about Bob is breaking my heart. I can only begin to know how you are feeling and handling all of these changes. Hope the people mover works. It look really good. Hope things go well with the cardiologist. I totally understand that you just can't read posts with all that is going on in your life right now. Take care and God Bless both of you.

The news about Bob falling was not good to read, Sandra, and hope the new chair is easier for you both. There's never a need to apologize for not posting or commenting. You are going through a lot with caregiving for Bob and Beau and your health issues. Many of us, myself included, do not have as many constraint on our time and still can't accomplish all that you do, so rest as needed and blogging will still be here.

I am crying for you so much. No one deserves this. And why don't those doctors know why he can't stand right? I am assuming he did not get hurt when he fell, because at least he had the walker. I have this transport chair!! Phil has to push me in it if we go into a large store or hospital that does not have a scooter. It is lightweight and we just keep it in the car trunk all the time.

I do hope that Bob is okay. I know you have your hands full and being a caregiver can be so very exhausting. Hoping that the doctors can do something for Bod to help. My brother just had that same test done last week and with his, it is requiring surgery to correct. Prayers for you Sandra...I hope you get some rest..

I'm so sorry to hear this, girl. That transport chair looks like a win-win.
I'm not that far behind you; this caregiving business isn't what I envisioned when I retired ... but we do what we have to. And say our prayers. God's got this. And I'm right here to listen any time.

You sure have your hands full, fuller and fullest. Don't worry about visiting our blog, as long as I see you are around I'll know things are okay. Great big hugs from all of us.

Take care of what you need to take care of, Sandra, including yourself. Most of all yourself, in fact, since you are the keystone in this fragile structure. We will be here when you are good, ready and able to stop by and say hello, and in the meantime will not neglect you at all. Take good care - David

Sandra, I do pray for your guys often. I wish I could do more for you. My heart goes out to you, and I know it is coming to us too. We start our needing help, and we end up needing help. You are the rock of the house - I just wish you didn't have to be. I wonder why Bob is falling. Let us know what the doctor says tomorrow. Tie a knot and hang on.

Please never worry about commenting on my posts. Just never forget we love you and are rooting for you. I'm glad you are getting a wheelchair --- I have fond memories of the one I used.

I hope someone can figure out what is making him fall and find a solution to the problem.
Don't worry about not leaving comments, we all know how crazy life has been for you. Just know that I'm thinking of you and hoping you're ok. Even mad pioneer women need a rest now and then.

We're sorry to hear life is a bit chaotic for you right now. Our paws are crossed that the doctors can help Bob stay upright more often.

Dear Sandra :)
You have a heavy load to deal with. and have dealt with for a long time now. I'm sure you will feel exhausted at the end of each day, but don't neglect yourself whilst you are caring for Bob and Beau, and visiting blog friends is not essential We will still be here when you feel well enough to do so, and we understand your lack of energy and hope and pray that the doctors discover what makes Bob fall, and he gets better, making things a
little easier for you both.
In the mean time sending you caring hugs.

Oh how I have missed you! I like to tell everyone I am 17 only backward! 2024 into 2025 has been rough but I am grateful to be standing after my surgery. Grateful for phamily & friends. I am always praying and remembering you and Bob and Beau. I hope your amazon delivery arrived. Brody seems to tip over on that darn walker. He rebroke his leg and is using the wheelchair and walker. Blake had an eye infection but new glasses and antibiotics helped him a lot. Little boys with so many obstacles. Life is hard, I will always be praying for all. Take care dear friend.
