Bob's Lab Visit

I awakened with a stye on my eyelid, and
it is the first one I have ever had and I hope never to again. I soaked it with warm salt water and it does help.
I sighed out loud and thought why does this happen when I need my wits about me to take Bob to the lab for his blood draw.
I dread leaving in the car, because Just stepping down one step, with walker and walking around the front of my car, open door, transfer inside, is hard going for both of us, even though I now have where/how to park for ease of entrance.

. I pray each time for our safety and for an accident free visit, for ease of getting him in and out of the car without a fall. At 6 AM we got in the car I asked God for strength, patience and safety.
Perfect entrance into our car in garage and out at the lab.

A man held the door, as I backed the chair over the hump. The crazy iPad they use to check in did not stump me,
I did not crush his arms or legs or feet in the 4 foot wide, long narrow hall, or break his leg taking a sharp turn into the tiny room.

I held her box of 7 vials, because there was no room to move in the tiny room and he could not sit in the seat with the armrest and supplies.
Back down the narrow hall,  I tried to hold the door with my back, to back through it, a woman stood and held the door,

at the door to the sidewalk, a tall Hispanic man, held the door, and I backed us out again and I flashed my biggest smile and said thank you so much.
The man followed a long behind us, and to the car, he said let me do this, in perfect English and he rolled Bob up, helped him in the car, picked up Bobs dead leg, placed it in the car, closed the door, rolled the chair to the back of the car, folded it, and picking it up like it was nothing but a carry on suitcase, placed it in the trunk and said have a nice day. The reason I mentioned English, is inside while we were waiting he spoke Spanish while talking to a lady next to him.
We were there and back home safely inside, with Bob on the sofa, and all completed  in 50 minutes.
Thank You, Lord for a perfect visit to the lab, Bob even commented, This is the best visit to this lab ever.

Angels come in all nationalities, and this one was Spanish! Any word yet on when the first infusion will be?

Again your prayers are answered! As for the stye... is your wedding ring yellow gold? Rub it on the stye for at least two minutes at a time, every couple of hours. When my mother told me that years ago I thought she was having me on... but it sure reduced the thing and took the itchy heat out of it! YAM xx

What a relief to have accomplished your appointment. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers. They bring smiles as well as help.

You know, it is sad that we still feel the need to comment on the nationality or ethnicity of another person. He was a kind human being, a person willing to help, and that’s really all that needs to be said. I am very happy that things turned out so well and that Bob felt it was the best visit ever to the lab. May it continue thus.

Hello,
So glad all went well with the lab visit.
It is awesome to have such a kind person helping you with Bob and the wheelchair. Take care, enjoy your day!

So happy that everything went so smoothly. The tall hispanic man was an angel sent just to help you.

I have been reading the others' comments as they echo exactly what I was thinking...God sent you an angel who speaks several languages so he can help others who may need him too...what a blessing! What an answer to prayer! And even the others along the way who held the door for you and did little things to help you! God was certainly with you all the way! Wow! Why do we ever doubt? God knows our needs and even sends us multi-cultural angels to assist us! Our God is an AWESOME God!! Wow! I LOVE this story so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I hope the stye goes away. There is a STYE ointment that can be purchased. My hubby has used it many times and says it helps.

Wow! I do believe God was listening to every prayer ... not unlike when He parted the Red Sea so long ago. I'm so happy He put that Hispanic gentleman in your path, too.

I was going to suggest that STYE ointment, too. Itty bitty orange(?) tube ... yes, it works!

Amen! I am praying the drug works as well as the visit went.

It's good to hear the visit went so well and you were helped by so many people. I bet that last gentleman that helped you was a nurse or a trained caregiver of some sort and I'm glad he was there to help you.

Oh no on the stye. I used to have them lots as a child.
There is a cream at Walmart on the eye care aisle that supposedly helps styes.
Very happy the labs went well
