Waiting for Angel

Daddy's feet, Mama's Knees,
Therapist Angel, come now Please!
I love Angel, and he loves me,
I follow behind them walking and my nose bumps Angels knees.
I knew we were waiting for Angel, and when not resting I stood up to watch for him.

Angel is my favorite PT (physical therapist) that visits daddy. He comes once a week, and he can get Daddy to do all his exercise when he will do them for no one else. He and Daddy were both born in Perkasie PA except Daddy was born in 1936 and Angel in 1980. They both worked in the steel mills, doing the same job, lifting heavy steal. Mama likes him because he always comes on time and when promised and he gives her helpful tips for "handling" daddy, she already knows how to "handle" me.
It took me 2 months, but now I am so used to the WALKER, that I lay up against it, walk through it like a tunnel and when Mama forgot and left it in front of the sliding door, I just walked under it.
She's happy so I am Happy and so is Daddy
PS, Mama says to tell you her son Dan is making a shutter to put on that big window if needed. Hurricane Milton almost blew it in. She hates not being able to see out, so we will see how that goes.

I get lots of hugs and kisses and all 5 of Daddies Home Health Care people love me and I love them.
Mama says I am the best therapy dog ever!

I'm glad that Angel is such a good PT and can get your daddy to do the exercises. What a small world that he came from the same place your dad did.

Good to hear that it's working out well for all of you with at least one of the PTs. :)

Hello, Beau
It is good to have the PT at home, I hope and pray your Daddy is doing better. It is nice you made friends with Angel. Everyone loves you Beau! It is great that Dan is going to make a shutter for the window, it is best to be safe during the hurricanes. Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week!

OH Beau! You certainly ARE the BEST therapy dog ever! I can tell that you are good for Daddy AND Mama!! How wonderful that "Angel" comes and gets your Daddy up and moving, and knows all the right steps to take! I know you are a good helper and are "taking notes" on the things that Angel is teaching your Daddy, so that you can be there to encourage him when Angel isn't there. How neat that Angel was born in the same place as your Daddy, only about 45 years later! God must've really sent "Angel", because HE knew that Angel would be good for your Daddy and that they have things in common! Isn't it wonderful the things that God knows that we don't know, and He does these special things for us without us even realizing it? God is so good, and I know HE sent YOU to be there with your Mama and Daddy too!! Oh, Beau, what a blessing you are! And I hope your big brother Danny can get the shutters made before the hurricanes come again. We are praying the hurricanes will go away somewhere else this summer and leave us all alone! But it is best to be prepared just in case. Thank you, Beau, for this wonderful report! You deserve some extra doggy treats today!!!

Beau, whoever said "you can't teach an old dog to do new tricks" sure didn't know what he was talking about. How I'd have loved to see you go under the walker like a tunnel.
Angel sounds like a real angel, and now I'm wondering how/why in the world he went from steel mills to therapy! Sounds like he took a lot of psychology classes, too. At any rate, I'm so glad he did!

I'll be interested to learn more about that shutter for the big window ... like, is it going to be retractable. Great idea!

How nice that you like all your dad's helpers and they like you too, Beau. Of course, who wouldn't love you? It's good to hear you've gotten used to your dad's new equipment too.

I am all behind, but I read through all the missed posts. So sorry that your son lost their beloved Allie.
How sweet that Beau was able to rell us his side of things today. Its nice that he loves all the therapy peeps, and esp Angle. He sounds like the best of the best!
I like that he snoopervises all the doings.
And about the pool: water therapy is one of the best ways to exercise weak muscles. Does Angel take him out there, too? It's too bad that he doesn't have him every visit.

I also read your quote from Philippians 4. That chapter was our wedding text, and esp the first part about Rejoice and Again I say Rejoice...that whole chapter is so uplifting and it has been very appropriate for us in our own lives as we travel the roads of life with all its bumps and detours.
As of course do many other verses in the Bible...esp in the Psalms! They were my go to, when I was diagnosed with almost stage 4 cancer in 2006.

I love your smiling ussie with Beau!

Beau is a sweetie. That's wonderful y'all have an "Angel".
Steve is going to make shutters for two of our windows too even though we're up here in SE Georgia. These hurricane's are getting to be a bit of a pill. Hopefully they will be gentle this year. Helene was scary (for us).
Sending prayers for good days. Love. ✨

We know about being therapy animals and the visiting Peeps! We LOVED all of the ones that came to visit our Mom. We are happy that you Beau, have a Mom person to help Bob. We found that we needed all 3 cats and Nutmeg to keep our Mom in line. We are glad that she is still really slow and has a heck of a time standing up! She still can't catch any of us unless she tempts us with treats! Keep your Mom happy Beau! nd Keep being awesome! Marvelous Marv

That is so interesting about Angel. I'm so glad that Daddy likes him and that he does all the exercises for Angel. He sounds perfect. Hard to believe that they have so many things in common. That is a real blessing. Glad you have gotten used the walker. Take care.
