In the distant past, before the drought,
if you had taken a walkabout,
to see our backyard holidays splendor,
you would have found 5 different hibiscus in the month of December,
The weather was perfect, they love cooler air,
if you wanted flowers for Christmas they were always there.
You would have seen, 3 dwarf Poinciana trees,
so very beautiful, they would bring you to your knees.
In our back yard way back when,
no matter which holiday you were in,
you could skip the decorations, there was no Need
Because Bobby Appleseed had planted enough seed
to give you the best decorations, indeed.

Nature's decorations are the BEST, and man cannot replicate them no matter how hard we try. Your yard was like a Botanical Garden.
Clearly a beautiful season if the rain gods play fair with you.
that is beautiful... your state has its own special poinsetta for christmas...
These are so pretty!! 🩷🌷🩷

Such beautiful blooms, I sure hope they return when the drought ends...
They are so beautiful! And I really enjoyed your poem.
Hi Sandra ;)
You had such gorgeous blooms in your garden I loved seeing your photos of them and your cute photo of you and Santa Bob. It's lovey seeing Christmassy photos. When my computer crashed I lost all mine-

Lovely photos and good poem! :)
I totally second Ginny's comment. Only God can make a tree!!
Love the photo of you and Bob!
Those flowers are so beautiful. It's too bad the drought has done them in.
Beautiful Red !!!
Love your Bobby Appleseed.
Praying for some rain to bring back the flowers.

OH, I love your beautiful December flowers. I am so sorry the drought wiped them out. And then the hurricane probably destroyed everything left. I am getting pretty concerned about our drought. That rain last week was barely a drop in the bucket of what we need, but I am thankful for every drop of rain that falls. Merry Christmas to you and Santa Bob and Beau!
It's a shame about the drought. The flowers were so pretty. Love you little card at the end with Santa Bob and you.
