The One and Only Avocado YUM

Look  how big the DELICIOUS one and ONLY avocado from this week is. This is avocado #8 this year, drought made all the buds fall off, and the squirrels are the first 7, until this one hit the roof like a bomb and I beat them to it.

We had it for dinner last night. Yum

Christmas Past 2025, and something red each day

Avocado's from the past with a RED bucket .Sadly the drought no longer gives us a bumper crop every November.
.

I weighed this one

and found two ways to show how big they are, one measured 7 inches in length

I even took one outside to make shadow art.

I remember all your avocados! I'm glad you managed to get this one. 😊❤️

They are huge! Do you just eat them straight, or make guacamole from them?

At least Beau won't be eating them. 😁 What a shame you are no longer getting a decent crop for yourselves.

Maybe if you get some decent rain activity you might get some more of those delicious avocados. I had to giggle at your quaint avocado family, teehee!
Not sure why, but today's Santa, the antique one sort of looks like Bob! Or am I nuts??! (lots of times I think so and so looks like this person or that and people just laugh at me...so maybe I am nuts, LOL!)

My girlfriend was just diagnosed with breast cancer, she might love a book like yours about anxiety. Though she does know where her only comfort lies, and that God will sustain her through all the needed procedures and so on to work with God to get rid of that cancer. I know He did that for me, even after a almost stage 4 cancer way back in 2006. These days God has given the researchers and doctors the ability to help so much better than in the past. I had Christian MD's and nurses and that sure made a big difference, because they prayed with me. Prayer warriors are SO important, as you well know!

Those avocados are huge. So much bigger than the ones you get in the store here. I love the one with the little hat and glasses. Your Santa salt shaker is so cute

Holy Moly, Guacamole!!! I have to pay nearly $2 per avo here, and they are only about a quarter that size, (maybe even less) and frequently bruised from having travelled all the way from Colombia. Colour me a tad green as jelly that you have such fruits literally dropping like manna! YAM xx

Here I am in Colombia eating avocado to my heart’s content. Food from the gods, to be sure. Might have a few slices with breakfast this morning. Know the question I have been asked most frequently down here? Why did the United States elect a madman to be president? Good question, huh?

Wow, that is a huge avocado. YUM! Cute images and I love the Santa salt shaker. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.

Our store bought avocados are less than half the size of that single one from your tree. Too bad there was only one this year, but sure glad it was enjoyed.

That is huge!
We've stopped eating avocados, though I love them - not good for kidney disease.😳

I LOOOOOVE avocados and what a treat to grow your own. Sorry it's not been a lot this year. But wow, wow, the size is amazing. Love the play of light and shadow!!!!

Thanks for your comment, I love that you played with the leaf and had so much fun. That's how I am too. Just getting lost in the fun of it.

Whoah....that is a BIG avocado! It's sad the drought has shrunk your avocado crop, here's hoping for more rain this year.

Love your little Santa shaker!

That avocado is HUGE. Sam tries to eat one everyday even though they are so expensive in our area. A small one is 99 cents and the larger ones are $3.00. They are healthy for you though.. Your little Santa shaker is adorable..

California avocados look different. No smooth skin, darker and much smaller. Two different varieties. They don't sell Florida avocados here, so I've never seen one that huge.

Glad you got it! It looks wonderful. I can't believe the size of that one in the picture that you are holding. Love your Santa. Hope your weekend goes well. How's Beau doing?

I've still never seen any avocodos that big, you could make a green snowman decoration with one. Big hugs from all of us!

How these images make me smile ... especially Aava. Great idea, propping the new kid against the POO for perspective sake.
I really should walk these over to our local grocer and ask what he's doing wrong.

Avocados are the best! I’m sorry you only got the one this year. I’m guessing watering the tree is out of the question.

I enjoyed your avocado art.

Avocado's are yummy. I wish they didn't spoil so quickly after splitting open.
We're getting lots and lots of rain this week! Thank you Lord! I hope this means our drought is broken. It was so dry.
Love 🎅🏻

That is one HUGE avocado! Too bad the weather and the squirrels have kept your harvest small.

I love Ava (how can you eat it after you name it, LOL?). And your Antique Santa salt shaker (or A.S.S.) OK, I think it's past my bedtime...

Dear Sandra :)
Wow! I have never seen an avocado so huge. Glad it didn't fall on your head.

Avocado art, love it! The size of that one was amazing! Lucky to have your own tree. I had one mashed on toast yesterday with a poached egg. The other one I had the next day, I just ate it out of its shell. Cute Santa salt shaker.
