Grass from the hurricane (BeauSpeak)

HurricaneMilton grew Bahia grass every where in 2024.
Above is our side yard in August 2025 when blessed rain came every day for a week. The rain never returned and still has not.

All photos of me were taken on January 5, 2026. we are now half way through January. I heard Mama says that to Daddy and a Wow

Now Mama waters this patch, on the other side of the yard and its growing

And she has grass in pots, and we are grateful for grass in pots

and when she waters the pots, it makes the grass and weeds grow in daddy's junk yard pile.

I have 3 places with grass. and a hope for more. Mama is praying to find a handyman/woman she can pay to do things she can't do
to be continued

we are joining Brian's Home for Thankful Friday because we are thankful for the grass we have and I am thankful for My Mama growing grass and she is thankful we had no hurricane in 2025, and Mama and daddy are thankful for ME being here with them for 5 years and 3 months. My biggest thankful is my Furever home with Mama and Daddy. I was sick again last night, its been 2 weeks since the last episode.

Oh Beau, I am so sorry you were sick again last night. I do hope you feel better today. I hope that pretty green grass helps your tummy. You are a blessed doggy, and I think your Mama and Daddy are blessed to have you too!! I know you sure make them smile. Tell Mama we only got .05" of an inch of rain last night with this cold front coming through. It is going to get really cold by tomorrow morning, and our Blackie kitty may have to stay inside all night. It will be a big experiment to see how he does. Say a little prayer for him, okay? Thank you. Bye for now sweet Beau.

Seems that you have your built-in mower, if your grass would only grow. I'm sorry Beau's tummy needs it, though. On a different note, our neighbor kids are great workers and cheap labor. Don't know if there are any kids near you who could do the things you need done.

Ha...I am laughing because as I was reading your post, I too...like Dawn, was singing "Green, Green, grass of home". I guess great minds think alike. Dogs do eat green grass for their tummy's. I have some lemon grass and my granddog (Lucy) sneaks a chew of it every time she comes over. My flower beds have a lot of green grass right now...Hoping to have it gone next week.

I hadn't realized there were no hurricanes in 2025. I guess that's why there is a drought? Crazy how hurricanes can be so destructive but beneficial at the same time.
Poor Beau and the tummy issues. I'm glad he is smart enough to know how to treat himself.

Well, Beau, I'm so thankful your furever home includes potted grass for the taking! And, they look at just the right height you don't have to stoop your neck down to the ground.

PS - My Tom has a couple junk piles in the back I'd love to find someone to come get rid of! My fear is in the summer months there may be a rattler or two lurking, just waiting for a nosy pup.

Oh boy, I am so sorry you were sick last night. I hope you all get some rain and grass. I really didn't know dogs were supposed to eat grass.
