Saturday at 7:30 AM, my groceries delivery from Wal-Mart appeared on my porch and as I carried the last bag inside, I thought what is this? Pulling it out of the bag I found 100 Red Square Bottom Red Solo Cups and Bob said what is that?
I stood at the end of his bed, holding it aloft, for him to see what neither of us even knew existed.
A small white car pulled in the driveway and a young man who looked like an NFL football player, ran up the driveway, I walked to the door and opened it before he made it to the porch, holding up the red cups and smiling.
His face split with a grin that lit up my porch, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU he said as he reached me, took the cups, and as he pumped my hand he said, I mean this, thank you sooo much.
He made my day Sparkle, I made his day Sparkle....

So the man was the delivery guy who had come to claim his mistakenly delivered cups? I have these and use them all the time. Only mine are pink and gold.

Nice that you both made each others day sparkle. How did he get those in the wrong order though? Don't they normally have everything bagged up? I almost fell over when I saw the price of those. I can't believe they've gotten that expensive. That's crazy.

Wow! $20.00 for 100 solo cups! No wonder the delivery guy was happy to get them back! He may have had to take that out of his pay! I have always kept a bag of these cups in my cupboard where I keep paper plates and plastic silverware...for when we have large gatherings. However, the price of those disposable paper goods has gone up so much over the past few years that I no longer purchase them as often, and we actually don't have many large gatherings here anymore anyway. I don't have a dishwasher, but I've decided to use real plates and silverware most of the time as long as I have some good helpers who volunteer to do the cleanup for me. However, we often still use the solo plastic cups for large groups and I write their names on the cup so they know whose whose and they don't have to keep grabbing a new cup...it also serves as a name card for their place to sit at the table.

Lucky for that driver he realized his mistake and came back to retrieve his cups.

I too have some Red Solo Cups in my pantry. I'm like Pamela and use them for large gatherings and everyone puts their name on them too.
So glad you put the Sparkle in the guy's day and yours as well.
A little Sparkle Sprinkled on us is Wonderful.
