Too Tired To Tango Tuesday

I was MIA yesterday because my To-Do list for the day was a LOT.

The first hour of my day is always one hour to get through the routine of getting Bob and Beau up.

Took out Garbage Bin and Yard Waste to curb, after filling them.

Publix for Eggs, Walmart did not bring them.

Home Depot, AC filters

Back to the Eye Doc to pick up frames and get a refund of $381 for a new lens, which came out of our account. The girl did not catch that my insurance only pays for the lens every 2 years. I have to wait 6 months. She needed my debit card to be refunded.

The thing is.. Monday when I drove the Kia to the eye doctor, the check oil light came on. I knew it was fine, I just got an oil change 3 months ago. Still, I had to check the oil. I have never opened the hood to any of our cars. Bob is a retired auto mechanic so no need to.  I struggled to open it, and could not find the latch,

I came inside and watched a video on HOW to OPEN the HOOD of a 2007 Kia, was able to open it, but remembered the hood doesn't stay up, has to be propped open, found a stick, tried it, no deal, I had to flatten one end, and could not find a saw, so used the limb lopper to do that, found the dip stick and checked the oil which was fine. Now the stick rides in the back with the wheel chair, and the stick has to be used on propping that up because the last time the wheel chair was lifted out by ME, it would not stay up.

I did the three visits, in 1 hour 20 minutes, after driving, East/North to doctor, west/South to Publix, South to home Depot and North to home.. I got all 4 and of course ran into construction traffic South and North.

Returned home at 10:30 and did two loads of clothes/towels,

Called Spectrum to see why our bill went up 30 dollars, got it rebundled so its only up 3 dollars.

Paid all the bills, that should have been done on Monday.

In between all this took Beau out twice, Bob off you know what twice, Made lunch and collapsed in bed at 1 and slept till 3 when Bob was calling for help and said, were you that much asleep? I have been yelling for 30 minutes.

I answered " I have been on my feet since 3:15 which is 10 hours... and fed the dog and and took him out again.... when Beau goes out I follow every step he takes to make sure he doesn't eat it.... most of my days are like this, I will be erratic in posting/commenting. I typed all this to let everyone know why I am to tired to tango (blog) most days, each day I have been lopping branches off the powder puff tree to give it the annual pruning. I can only do 10 per day, still got 5 more days.

I did get a handyman number from the eye doctor. Hope it works out.

I wonder how you carry on, Sandra. I am exhausted reading about your day.

Oh Sandra! That's a lot of stuff in one day! I hope ALL your days aren't quite that busy, but I do know how things happen. We think we have an empty calendar when I turn the page each month, and before you know it almost every space is filled with something we have to do or someplace we have to go (mostly Dr. appointments, etc.) It's a good thing we're retired, right? My heart goes out to you and I pray that today will be a little calmer and give you some extra moments to put your feet up and relax a bit. (((HUGS)))

You have been thrown into the role of Superwoman, I wouldn't be able to manage half of it... 💕

Caregiving for Bob and Beau is a full time job as you have shown through your posts, Sandra. Glad that you managed a short nap in such a busy day and hope you get more in future. Blogging is definitely not as important as caring for yourself and loved ones. Take all the time you need, fellow bloggers will still be around.

Busy day. Our yard waste pickup has been awful lately. I know the trucks are filling up quickly with all the things that came down from the frost, but it started before that.

Take care of yourself, and try to find someone to do the heavy lifting, handyman stuff.

You are nothing short of amazing! So, what are you going to do about that "check oil" light? Or, did it go off on it's own?
I wish Tom would allow me to call a handyman -- at least a yard person before I, too, need a new hip. You know, you're still in my prayers.

You need help. Is there any services to can sign up for that are free? You need help. You need some rest, too.

Have a blessed day my friend. Big healing hugs all around and scritches to Beau. ♥

I could not do it Sandra - you are amazing. You love so much. Is the oil okay in your car? A handyman will be good. You deserve a nap!

You are a role model for all of us out here. Full time caregiving is a full-time job and then some. You are going above and beyond especially with your own health issues. Like Ginny says and I agree, you are my hero too. Sending hugs.

Oh my word, I am tired just reading about all that. I go to Walmart on Saturday morning and when I get back I'm wiped out.

And tere are days I think I am fully busy, but your day(s) take the cake! Good thing you were able to get in a nap for recharging your battery a bit.
A handyman would be very handy. We need one here too, maybe a live in one...yup, as if!
Take care...and isn't there a 'holder upper' for the front hood when it's open. I think it should be near where the open the hood lever is, and there should also be a hole in the hood itself to put the 'holder-upper' in.
Maybe you can find out from the dealer you bought it from...or the user manual.

I got exhausted just reading it - and I'd be quietly stressing about the oil light😵‍💫😬 - do you get to sit down and eat in a restful way?

I feel you, sister!! My life is exactly the same! The other morning Louis Dean and I got up at the same time and as he was heading to his room to get coffee, he said, "Do you want me to pour yours or will you do that yourself?" I told him I was NOT going straight to the coffee pot and that it would be a good 30-45 minutes later since I have to set out his meds, take mine, fix Tabitha's antibiotic (She developed a UTI while at Amber's) AND feed, water and check the litter box PLUS take out the trash! We are WOMEN!! Hear us roar!

Your say would have worn out a woman half your age! My 2015 Versa's oil light is always on. It's not that the oil's low, it' the light that is malfunctioning.
