On April 16th, 2026, I saw a life bird. We have many woodpeckers here, and I thought I had seen them all. Not true.
I stood absolutely thrilled listening to the pecking goin on! I had heard it for several days and thought that is a huge woodpecker. NOT SO!
She was only about 4 or maybe 5 inches tall, above my head, I had no camera. I froze and stood and watched her.
I took the old pick from 6 years ago, and asked AI to put black leggings, my pants of choice now, on me and add a downy woodpecker. I neglected to say female so had another go at AI
By now you are wondering what this has to do with blog or not blog.
Simple Answer IS.... I consider my blog a journal, keeping track of what we buy, do, see and used to go... I can search my blog and find out how many computers I purchased and when. My Memory Is Shot! its all here since 2009 and the dogs are on Fourpawsetc blog all 6 of them
FOR NOW I will post once a day what I have in my drafts, I will be unable to read your blogs and I feel really bad. I want these things on my blog.
I am unable to find time to read and comment.
there will be a week of posts and then I will post as things happen I want on the blog.
I am praying that I will be able to come back to post/read/comment.
I do read emails each day and answer MOST of the time..
I will visit sporadically, as time allows. Love you all, Miss you all!

That's exactly what blogging was invented for - journaling of processes in universities, originally. It caught on. You do it as you see fit. We'll enjoy it when it's there! Fabulous to have seen the woodpecker - lucky you. YAM xx

Thanks for the update. You've got to do what you've got to do. Blogging comes second, especially with everything that is going on. Just know I think of you often, like we all do, and came in to check today to see if you had had a chance to put something on here. I pop in here hoping and here you are, BUT don't expect it because it's hard for you, I know that. Sending hugs.

We have lots of different woodpeckers around here too. Don't worry about commenting. We all know you have a lot on your plate and we're happy to hear from you when you can or want to let us know what is happening in your life. Just know we are thinking of you often and hope you are all doing well.

We will enjoy hearing from you, even if you are just reporting how many woodpeckers you saw or how many pills you had to put in the pill caddies. Whatever you write we will read. You don't need to feel like you have to comment or reply to us. We understand. We all have our own issues with keeping up with each other. I try, but life happens and I can't always get back here every day to check in with everyone. But we all do what we can, and that's all we can ask. That's a cool woodpecker. We had a confused one last year. It kept pecking on the metal jacket over our chimney. It was sure plenty loud inside. We miss you too. Big hugs from all of us!

Sandra, I loved seeing that little woodpecker and the one with you and Beau and it. Hey, don't worry about it. Post when you can, read when you can, with or without comments. Sandra, you and everyone else needs to do what is best and if that means not blogging as often or not commenting that’s OK. Do whatever works best for you and no need to apologize because you have other priorities, you, Bob and Beau.
I have been worried about you and thinking about you. I was just going to write. I want to hear what is going on.
That is why I do my blog too. To remember things and to say hello to some friends. So keep on.
