Sunshine Makes Me Happy

Some people are making such thorough preparation for rainy days that they aren't enjoying today's sunshine. William Feather

A cloudy day or a little sunshine have as great an influence on many constitutions as the most recent blessings or misfortunes. Joseph Addison

I like an occassional rainy day with a good book, but I prefer bright and clear, Sunny days. Dreary makes me want to do nothing, sunshine gives me energy.

I would like to hear from you, how rain/sunshine effects you.

I am happy on Sunny days and down on dreary days. Another thing I can agree with my husband on. he feels the same.

A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love.
Max Muller
A light wind swept over the corn, and all nature laughed in the sunshine.
Anne Bronte
this photo is what started me thinking about how much I love sunshine. Baby and Jake were drying off in the sunshine after their bath. Our house faces south, and in the winter months, the sliding glass door is where you will find the dogs.

The old saying is, "happy as a pig in the sunshine." These pics would make me change that to "happy as two dogs in the sunshine!" Good blog!
When it is sunny and cool, I am full of energy. I, however, do love rainy weather. That means it is time to kick back and relax. (if you can)
Hope this will post.

Lovely pictures and wonderful quotes.
Dreary days get me down, for sure. I especially hate now that it get dark so darn early. I don't mind a rainy day now and then but I prefer the energy the sunshine gives me.

I love the way shadows and light are playing on your pictures! I absolutly hate it when it gets dark early! At about 5:30 now. What time does it get dark in the winter in Florida? My husband had S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder). Which means that as soon as fall comes and there's not as much light, he got very depressed and stayed that way till spring. It made Christmas a bad time for him, as he basically didn't feel like celebrating or doing much of anything. It just squeezed every bit of joy out of life. It's really like the sun is our battery.

Well, rain is God's blessing and I love it but in case that it is not raining for days. I definately don't enjoy dark, cloudy and cold rainy days. I love sun no matter if it is spring, summer, autumn or winter; but it is the sunlight that can make me happy and makes my day.

Hmmmmm---I love both Rainy and Sunny days. The key is a nice combination of both... Rainy days gives us time to work inside more. Those inside days are precious. BUT--sunny days help everyone to feel better all over!!!!! I want BOTH.

Hugs,
Betsy
