Jungle Calling Me

Our backyard Jungle has been calling my name. The pineapple is growing with the moss rose, the hisbicus are waving bright headlight of color at me and I have been clicking away. (see header/sidebar)

Flowers from Dwarf Poinciana tree. It is a small tree or large shrub, which ever we want to call it. Bob grew it and 3 others from a seed pod from our neighbor. At the time we had no idea what it was, just that we liked it.

I have hundreds of photos from 3 walkabouts over the past 2 weeks, but when Hubby pointed out the tips of gold on the end of the feather like stims, I took 40 photos trying to get the macro thingy to focus on it.

when he came to the door and said come look at the dwarf and bring your camera, I huffily said
"I have hundreds, maybe thousands of photos of that plant"
His answer was,
"not like this, come see the ends of the stems"

I listened and now the Walkabout Photos have been bumped

try not to lose any sleep fretting over the Walkabout Photos you might have missed.
The WILL be Back!!!!

When do you know if/when the pineapple will be ripe enough to eat????? It looks GREAT... Is that the only one so far?

Hugs,

i LOVED walkabout, but am so glad you stopped to show us this! That's the beauty of blogging, isn't it? The last three pictures look so totally different from the first ones, almost like you took the first ones with a different camera than the last three. Or maybe it's the background. But you can really see the gold tips on the last three. Strange, wild, and beautiful. The first thought that comes to mind is untamed. Don't know why!

What a gorgeous, and exotic looking, flower. The tips of gold really do stand out. I guess we should listen to our husbands sometimes!

The pineapple doesn't look like a baby anymore, it has really grown.
