We Got Rain!

Florida has been in a drought for about 5 years. Last week, I did a rain dance.... the next day... We Got Rain! two full days.

How to predict weather in Seattle: If you can see Mt Ranier, it’s going to rain. If not, it already is!!!! (groan now)

After 2 days of rain, our powder puff flowers lost their fluff and looked really funny, all bedraggled from being soaked. MadSnapper Macro shows bedraggled is not all bad.
If a band plays music in a thunderstorm, who is most likely to get hit by lightning? The conductor

Why do mother kangaroos hate rainy days? Because then the children have to play inside

If six children and two dogs were under an umbrella, how come none of them got wet? Because it wasn’t raining.

What do clouds want to be when they grow up? -Thunderstorms

In the summer desert heat, what did a dust devil say to the over-talkative dust devil? -You are really blowing a lot of hot air (for those of you who don't get rain)

If you are a follower of MadSnapper, you may be thinking this....

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.

Who would think that Florida would have a drought! The strangest things are happening on the planet. Wish we could get some of it. I just love rain. When my roof works, that is.

Those flowers are beautiful with the water droplets on them.

Hi Sandra, It took me awhile to catch up on your weekend blogs... Wow--you were a busy gal... I loved seeing all of the miniatures of the circus.. Wow---so much detail.

Glad you got some rain... Your yard/flowers/trees/plants ALL will love that water...

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Last one and fourth from the bottom are my favorites!! I always love seeing the powder puff, because we have none around here and I've never seen any others, so it is exotic to me. So glad you got rain!!! But you must have a fit keeping up with the dogs muddy paws! Good choice not to change the header, you've seen how bad mine look. This is prettier than any tiny picture.

Your rain dance really worked. If we have a drought again this year up here we'll have to bring you up so you can bring us rain as well. You got some great macros of your Powder Puff blossoms.

Lovely pictures of wet flowers, Sandra... It's not easy to catch raindrops!
I see you have not dared to change you header - wise choice at the moment, I think ;)
Oh - and I'm presenting you with an award... Not sure how you feel about those? I've already broken the rules for it, so feel free to do as you want! :) You will find it here

I got a real kick out of the Mt Ranier joke mostly because it is true of the Seattle area and also for the Portland area where we used to live.

Beautiful shots, I love water droplets on flowers.

Just an fyi, it took me awhile to find you today. The little squiggles on your blog title sent you to the bottom of my dashboard list. No big deal cause I know where to look now.

I love the blurry effect of the last ones..I didn't realize you guys were in a drought..we were too (I'd posted previously), but in our neighborhood, for some reason we were spared? Anyway, I love the droplets-

We're supposed to get rain in our area tomorrow. I love the last shot Sandra, it's beautiful!

We had two inches last week. Now it is too cold but that system is supposed to bring up warmer air so we are supposed to get rain and not snow. We will see. The ground was still frozen this afternoon.

I love these shots with the droplets. I especially like the one with the beautiful bokeh! Now would you please do a 'sun' dance' and a 'stop the snow' dance for me??????
