Bucket Garden Part Two

I never know what will show up in Hubby's Buckets, plants OR containers. He plants anything IN anything. This is by no means ALL of his buckets of bushes.. they are scattered where ever the sun shines. We have many tall trees, so the buckets go where the sunbeams shine. Pool chemical buckets, Orange paint bucket, Butter Tubs, Coffee Cans are popular containers.
Above two tomato plant's from seeds, photo taken on Feb. 4th
Above is 10 days later on Feb 14, almost double in size and the source of the header photo and the yellow flowers from yesterdays part One. .

the orange bucket contains a dwarf poinciana tree, it looks like a dead stick now and is 5 feet tall, below is the new growth, in a few weeks it will be full of leaves and brilliant red/yellow flowers. It is 4 years old and ready for transplant but we have no where to plant it. he has given several away for that very reason. I asked why do you keep growing things we have no where to plant. His answer was "because I can"
If you want to see the flowers that will be on the dead stick in a couple of weeks CLICK HERE

FOR NOW there are 6 flowering trees, 7 tomato plants, 1 pineapple in the bucket garden

Well, that makes you and Bob a great match - the Mad Snapper and the Mad Gardener. He grows 'em and you snap 'em!

I think the bucket garden is just wonderful. Your husband has much more than just a green thumb.

Since Hubby can grow anything and everything, you should get him a large size paper currency and let him plant that. You will be rich!!! :-)
His bucket garden is amazing! If I planted something in a bucket, it would dry up and die. If it was to get a good start growing, the squirrles would eat it up! I guess I will keep going to the grocery store..... I am not finding much worth buying in the produce section right now....

HI There, We are home after a few days with friends in North Carolina.

Love your hubby's 'bucket garden'... Even if you have nowhere in the yard to plant anything else, I'm sure it's fun just to see what will grow... He does GREAT!!!!

Hope you are having a good week.
Hugs,
Betsy

Well, you've already answered my question about where he gets all the buckets. He must have the greenest thumb of anyone I know!! Too bad I don't live nearby, I would gladly accept any and everything!! Does he poke holes in the bottom of the buckets?

Your husband has some green thumb. His comment reminds me of my dads garden. He had a big one every year and he planted several things one of which was onions. He hated onions but his always grew very well. He gave away most of what he grew in his garden. He just enjoyed doing it

Your hubby's bucket garden if fabulous, that's quite a crop he has going right now. It's nice to see things growing, all of my patio pots look so bare at the moment.
