Tree Textures

Q: How do trees get on the internet?     A: "They ""log"" in."

Q: What is a tree's least favorite month?  A: Sep-timber!

I love all things trees, dead ones, live ones, tall, short and ones with texture. all of the photos today are Palm trunks, different species from Selby Gardens.

The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.  Genesis 1:12

First photo: Looks alien-ish. And aliivvvvvve.

Which I guess it is. Alive that is. Like Saguaro Cactus, I believe that trees have a soul. That really hits you when you visit the Redwoods in northern California.

Terrific tree texture! Continuing to enjoy your supplying virtual tours of Selby Gardens. Darn that Dave! Wish I had come up with a snappy pun. Woodn't you know I only think of groaners!

Gosh, I've never seen the like!! That first tree, it looks like those things were actually grafted on. I saw a really odd looking trunk a few days ago and didn't snap it, now I wish I would have!! But I figured I'd need to have more pictures of odd trunks to go with it, and there are really none around here that i've seen.

Trees are always so interesting and these especially so. That last one is amazing, the trunk reminds me of mosaic tiles.

Totally fascinating Sandra. The textures make me want to reach out and touch them. I never knew Palms had so many different looks to their trunks.
