I stood and stared at this large rock and wondered who and why it was broken.
this little guy I asked you yesterday where i found him. In FL things like this are used to FIND your car in the gazillions that are here fleeing from the cold weather. we see tennis balls every where, this one is the cutest

I've heard of being mad enough to chew nails but never saw that. LOL.
That John Muir quote was right on target. I feel renewed when we visit the Smokies or other natural area. I also feel renewed when I do my wannabe gardening. Hubby describes me as "playing in the dirt." Play is a good thing!

Love the driftwood pictures, as to the helmet, it's all Bulldogs up here.
Driftwood has a certain fascination.I like the varied forms it takes.
The rock really makes me wonder, too!! But I guess we'll never know. But you could ask the ranger. That driftwood is amazing, it looks like clothes that have just come out of the washer. When you showed the helmet head and said you asked about it yesterday, I thought "What??" So I scrolled down, and sure enough I had missed that post!! You must have posted twice yesterday, and I only saw the tomato one. Glad I found it, I loved the pictures.
Love the driftwood Sandra. I love seeing the sea grapes behind it too; they don't grow up here in NW Florida. Was that tomato good yesterday?

Sandra, Your driftwood pictures are wonderful... George loves to take pictures like that... I don't see them as much as you and he do--but I enjoy seeing photos.... George got some good ones like this when we were in Arkansas.

I always take photos of driftwood,too...I love how time has drawn stories into them.
You found some great driftwood and some wonderful quotes. The one by John Muir has always been a favorite of mine.
I've never used the ping pong balls on my car but one time I walked out of a mall in Portland and looked out at the sea of cars in the parking lot. About half had identical ping pong balls on the antennas! That's probably why there are so many different ones now, LOL!

The driftwood is so cool..just love the shapes!! Again, the quotes you choice are so inspiring Sandra!! What is that on the ground..it doesn't look like dirt to me but a silver tone? We have mostly cinder and have to haul dirt in for gardens and that. Well, I'm off to check on your 8 paws...
Amazing that driftwood - just makes me think of all the years of wind and rain and sun and etc to get it to look that way.
