My Favorite Santa - Bit by Bit

 During the month of December he resides on the breakfast bar
Santa made from cardboard and stiff paper, a gift from my daughter-in-law almost 20 years ago.

 Santa Claus is a jolly fellow! Imagine all that driving and still being able to say, "Ho! Ho! Ho!

That's a very St Nicholas-like Santa. I like it!

The whole Santa-myth is really a very odd mix when one starts picking apart all the older traditions behind today's images.

Your Old Saint Nicholas is one very handsome fellow. A lot of work went into making that piece, the details are beautiful. I can see why he is your favorite Santa.

Gorgeous Santa!

But I am gonna' go curl-up-in-a-ball-and-cry. I am so-in-*lust* with your macro ability. -gigggggles- ,-)

I'm sure you would coach me, if we were nearer. But I also believe that you have and are proficient with the use of, a better camera than I have.

And that's fine too. I don't mean I'm jealous of your cam. I mean--What if all out blogs, looked exactly the same? Now that would be boring.

So we each have to be content with the photos we can put on our own blogs. :-) I've been in blogging long enough (years and years) to learn to not, not, not stop doing what-I-can, because of all the more polished things which are out there, in Pretty Blog Land.

At first, it's a damper on our own enthusiasm. But after a while, you learn that being TIMID, is useless. And even holds one back, from learning more and progressing, with the use of our own camera.

Yikes, I'm long-winded today. Sorry. You fully understand, everything I'm trying to say, I'm sure.

"Heap on more wood!~~The wind is chill;
But let it whistle as it will,
We'll keep our Christmas merry still."

I don't remember seeing it last year --if you showed it to us then.... I'm so impressed and ENVIOUS.lll

He is one of the very few Santas I have seen that I really like! Maybe because you showed him one part at a time, I love the block, and other things he is carrying. And I like your cute Santas from yesterday. I remember the couple from last year, I remember Mrs. Santa's long eyelashes, it stuck in my mind. You have got to see Tammy's nativity scene. It is all made from paper! And you would never know. I can't remember if you follower her, but click here, I think you may have to scroll, but it should still be her header. http://www.simplesouthernhappiness.blogspot.com/
