After we had breakfast at Theresa's, we wandered through The Rusty Cricket Gift Shop
Gecko's Galore
Diane's toes on the floor.... She bought this one because it's face looked like her dog Sammie, a Jack Russell, or so she said....
AND.....ummm Whatevers.
And all this was on the front PORCH.....
Inside I found a Pink Glass Octopus Christmas ornament, if my tree were large enough I would have bought it ( I am blaming the poor quality of the photo on Low Light and NOT Photographers Skill)

I love the name Rusty Cricket, that alone would lure me into the shop. The crab with the bottle cap legs really caught my attention. That little pink octopus is adorable (store lighting, especially in small shops, is not a photographer's friend).
An interesting shop. I like the number 6 for eyes of the fly or whatever. The geckos are cute but I have too many real ones running around my house dropping pooh everywhere.
What a nice shop :-) I like the lizards [very colorful]. That pink octopus was nice too!
Hope you're having a good day!

Great post.
wonderful stuff. My favorite would be the Racoon's
now that is a shop I am spend some time in. I dare say the bugs however would give me the willy's....MY What Big Eyes You Have...and they would eat me.
What a fun place! I'd have enjoyed looking in there myself.
So many fun things to look at! Love it!

My kind of a place. Really like the raccoons. Have a great weekend.
I lovely way to spend a day, Sandra. What a great shop filled with beautiful treasures, I'm jealous.

my kinda shop...
What a fun shop...love the geckos!!
I love stores like this one. The racoons are cute!
Very cool! Say, Beth wanted me to ask you what kind of camera you have. We have a Canon Power Shot SX10 IS and she is thinking about getting a new one....any suggestions?
Man where's that shop because I think it might be worth a plane ticket. Love it! Misha in Tennessee is going to do a re-do on my new blog. We want to do a "Little Rascals" theme sortakinda. So we will see what she does. She think I oughta name it Spanky because of the little kid in the Rascal movies. Can't decide. I never did have a huge following anyway. I think I had 73 and 12 or so were the actual readers. So it's not like anybody will miss me.
:)
Your post makes me want to grab a girlfriend and go out for the afternoon!
I don't know where else to put this so I'll say it here. I really love your new blog header.
What a fun shop! I would love to walk through it.
This shop certainly has some unique -- gifts. I've ever seen an octopus Christmas ornament before. I really like the welcome sign.
Rusty Cricket has many neat things hanging around!
Fun place to visit with the camera ;)
Oh my,this place looks fascinating. No definitely not photographers error, the light is to blame.
Oh that pesky low light situations. . . Looks like a fun little shop overflowing with creativity.
This is definitely my kind of place too.
I just love the do-dads everywhere.
Very clever bottle cap crab.
I think you should have gotten the octopus ornament anyway. There has got to be a place to hang that anytime of the year. Terrific sun-catcher.
My kinda place - too fun!!!
Girl, ya had me at the name. Rusty Cricket...it simply sounds heavenly.
Loved the tour, now I wanna go.
God bless and have a wonderful weekend! :o)
"The Rusty Cricket"! LOVE that name!!!
YOu left that pink glass octopus? You left it? Oh couldn't you just hang it somewhere? Think how gorgeous she would look, illuminated and reflected on your lovely nook!!!!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
I'm not one to buy on impulse. I'm not. But oh that adorable pink octopus!!!!!!!! -sigh-

That's a fun collection of unique items. Hope you enjoy the weekend.
That 'stuff' was so cute - liked the bug and the raccoons. sandie
Boy, I would like to take a glance around that place...of course it isn't the photographer's skills.
In my case I always blame it on the cheap lens I have...and I swear some of the time I honestly think it is.
Cool shop ... where's it at?
What a cool name for a shop. The name alone would make me want to go in and look around. Some interesting things there too
