Gee Bee

I would like you to meet the newest addition to Bob's HANGAR/garage... ordered the day before our 27th Anniversary, came on Valentines day, but is NOT considered a PRESENT.... this way of thinking means I don't order something I want.... should I? should I not?
for those who care, here is the info, for those who don't skip to my RANT about Wal-Mart. Iff you don't care for rants, just click close... LOL

Gee Bee Fantasy Racer  has a wingspan 52 inches and is 41 inches long. Phil, I know you Care.

The thing is hubby flying this involves words I don't speak, that he speaks to me on a regular basis. Words like transmitter, receivers, servos and Y connectors and don't forget the elevator pushrods! Say what?

Gee Bee will fly for 8 minutes of aggressive aerobics or 12 minutes of just play flyin. Or so the booklet told me.
Ginny, guess what, for some reason it came with gecko decals

Rant for today.... I have been buying Granola Milk Bones for 2.98 a box for several months now. Under the box on the shelf was a sale sign that said  ROLLBACK  2.98 was 3.50
This is sooooooo NOT TRUE.... it is a come on gimmick to get people who have not tried it to try it. Why oh why do they do this? Makes me crazy... hubby says "crazier!"

Yes, Phil WILL care. He has been waiting to read all about it! It is almost 1:30 A.M. now and he is fast asleep, but when he gets home from work I will show him, I know he will want me to e-mail Bob. The Gecko stickers MUST go on the plane! Too cool! It is very pretty, too. Phil has a Navy plane that looks very much like it, but he has never flown it, something is wrong with it. He uses some of these words, but doesn't know near as much as Bob does. If you went and asked the manager, I bet he would just say it was always a Rollback, but they are just now getting around to stating it on the sign. They are sneaky that way. I got to talking to a woman in a doctors waiting room about eight years ago. And she was telling me about her son, or son-in-law, I can't remember what kind of relative he was. Anyway, here was his job. He worked at Wal-Mart. He stayed in a back room taking stickers off the things that said Made In China and Made in other countries. And he replaced them with Made In America stickers.

I love the plane, but I'll bet you would know that already.
It doe's look like Valentine for some reason.
Wal-Mart, You have to read the packaging on every thing these days
"12 to the box? Now 8 to the box, 4 to the box and on and on. The packaging looks the same 16 oz now 12 oz.
Just take the " RED SOLO CUP" it is on the endangered species List LOL
Can you tell I'm hard up for something to post.

I bought my son a helicopter that I don't understand either. But he flies is successfully around the house and scares the wits of the dog and cat. They actually hide together, they usually avoid each other.

The plane is cool! I know my hubby and son will like it.
You should order something for you. :)
I'm not suprised about the bones. Hubby listens to me all the time about getting ripped off or what I will not buy anymore.

Yep, the geckos have to be put on!

that plane is very cool. I think that could be a fun hobby for my hubby, may have to investigate.
Yes, one does need to be mindful of prices. argh.............

Hi Ms. Sandra
Mom and I are pleased to meet you.
It was our honor to be able to help Rem and Ms. Beth yesterday!! It was scary to us too.

Mom and I thought that was funny about your hubby speaking another language. My Dad is a model train brain and he too speaks another language when he talks about them.
Happy Weekend,
Madi and Mom

I don't fly radio-controlled planes, but I think this one looks pretty neat. Bob (and Phil) should both have fun with it.
I enjoyed your Wal-Mart rant.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Sandra, Love Bob's new plane. One of my brothers made model airplanes and one of my sons loved to make them also. I'm sure that they both would have loved the ones that actually FLY... It's so neat when men (like George and Bob) have hobbies like that... My Daddy had no hobbies and once he quit work, he couldn't find anything to do. Sad!

It's not just Walmart who does those kinds of things.. Kroger recently advertised OJ on sale for 2.99 and listed their regular price at 3.59... WELL--since we buy OJ most every week, we know that their regular price is/was not 3.59... Just a gimmick!!!! Grrrrrrr.

Hugs,
Betsy

that is the coolest plane...you need to show us photos of it flying...it's not right that they do that with pricing...wish they would go back to pricing each item...but they wouldn't make as much money off of us if they did...

I have been to some stores and know their prices and then later to see a flyer saying SALE.. only to find its the same price as I had seen it only the store flyer has it listed for a higher price and then lowered to the price I had seen it. NOT fair and not right to do comsumers like that. Walmart use to be so different but when the owner died, it went to crap. I remember when it was all USA made, that was their slogan when they first came out.

I see your hubby is into flyers. He can make his own decals, did you know that? Craft stores have water decal paper, you simple print what you want on the paper, soak in water then slide off. So you or he can take a pic of the dogs and make decals for the plane.

Neat plane.

First: You are not showing up in my "blog roll". I thought I'd maybe "unfollowed" you by accident. No, I tried to re follow and it said I'm already following?????

Second: I love that plane. Makes me want to start flying them.

Third: Walmart has not gotten one penny from me in well over a decade and they won't in the future!!

Whew!

Best,
Bonnie

Don't go to Walmart so can't comment on your rant except to say that it sounds completely justified.
Cool "unpresent" is that plane!

DawnTreader said...

I like the rounded shapes of that plane; not that I'm really interested in that kind of thing. I think the decals mean that you should invite Leonard and Lizzie to take a ride on it!

So sorry I'm late :( I think that plane looks cool - you should get the things you want [hehe]. Wishing you a fantastic weekend!

LOVE your header, been away from blogging and see I missed a lot.

I want a plane like that one. I love it. I adore that your husband likes toys. I like gadgets and toys too. This may be something to keep my grandsons busy when they are over her. Hmmmm.

The plane is really cool but I don't understand any of the techno talk surrounding it.
Walmart rants, I understand completely. That store just ticks me off more and more all the time

I don't blame you for your rant. Sometimes I think that companies (Politicians too) think we are all dumb and will believe anything fed to us.
Love your Hubby's new plane. Hope he enjoys it. I don't do plane speak either.

aww, pretty neat plane.
...and i enjoyed your wal-mart rant.
the new header is awesome!

That is one cool looking plane. I want to see a video of the "aggressive aerobics", that sounds like fun.

Apparently stores don't think their customers have the capacity to remember prices. I have run across this a time or two myself. It's sort of like raising the price and then saying it's 50% off which is actually 10% off the price it was before.

That plane is so cool. That's a neat hobby but costly too.
The WalMart thing is becoming a common knowledge here. Their SAM store didn't survive in Canada.
False ads are criminal here so you could just sent a note to consumer alerts and they be called on it in public.
