Did you guess what this is yet? It is Ball Moss (tilandsia recurvata) but us Southern Belles call it Air Plant.
I came out of the library and I spied this piece on the curb..... Oh Yes She did SNAP! (these are Before the new leaf turned over)
Through it on the seat of my Vue with the books
walked in the house and Shot it on the table (ball moss grows on trees, fences and telephone wires)
Shot it in front of the glass door (not spanish moss but same family)
Shot it on the counter top (funny thing is, our tourist friends buy these plants in all the stores here, growing on rocks, shells or sticks)
Shot it on the pink chair outside..... to be continued

Pretty. I haven't seen a lot of Air Plants since I moved to this coast. They are pretty little things. It does make a great photo subject. I really like the one on the counter top.
I've never seen such a thing. It's pretty! I probably would have brought it home too.
Wishing you a terrific Friday Sandra!

Very interesting, Sandra!
I like the moss. I just found some a few days ago and hubby and I were talking about it. I didn't even think to take pics. You're pics of the moss are really cool. I like the last one in the chair and the one with the blue water in the background.
Happy Friday Sandra!
too cool! as soon as you said what it was, i thought of it growing on a piece of driftwood - in a gift shop. :)
Wow! I learned lots, from that link.
Just saw one of those mushroom-looking things, growing on a tree, on our walk the other day.
And that plant you were snapping, it does seem to grow on air. Roots must be quite tiny.
HEY! Look at how great my today's quote goes, with your post!!! :-)

That is so cool! I have never heard of that before. I learn so much from you! So it doesn't need dirt or water? I doubt we have any around here.... Thanks for sharing!
I love it! Many pretty photos of the moss...have never heard of it. I think it's cool!! And love your snaps :) Have a lovely weekend!

I love the way you put it on the window and took pictures of it - so pretty. Sandie
That is a unique plant.I like the delicate look of it.
What an interesting little plant. I like the last shot best with the soft pink hue.
Is it dead yet? Heehehehee!!!
What a wonderful subject to photo. I would of picked it up too!
God bless and have a fantastic weekend sweetie!!! :o)
I like the shot on the pink chair and in front of the glass door...but really like the pink chair one for some reason.
I've never heard of it but I like it. It's pretty!
Tourists are so easily tricked. Well, tourists - and some people who LIVE here - buy local plants at nurseries that can easily be found for free.
Air plant, eh? It looks so delicate.
It reminds me when I used to leave in Fort Lauderdale and there was plenty of them on the trees.
Love it and I wish I had taken back some with me!
I've seen air plants before but I don't remember them looking quite like this one. I like it. I would have taken it's picture too
I love those things! I had one of those plants years ago... but um, it's um, gone now. I need to find me another one here cuz I have the ka-you-test little pot to hang it in!
It is so well balanced and delicate. A lovely piece of nature.
So what do the flowers look like or are there no flowers, just those dry seed pods? Kinda looks like those fun looking hats they wear over in the UK.
that is so cool..great shots...
