Guess What!

Saturday April 21, 2012

Guess what I found  in the yard Saturday AM, Can you guess? without scrolling down?

 Now can you guess?

MadSnapper Trivia (while you figure out what this is)

We  have small night lights in the hall bathroom and kitchen. I can’t sleep in complete dark.

When my son were 3 and 5 and I was 25, a storm came through Savannah and put the power out. I called Daddy crying because I was home alone with 2 kids in a DARK house. (I could do home alone, but only with lights)
He came over and left  mother home alone in the dark , and opened my front door, to let in little light through the screen door, and he took the sofa cushions and put them on the floor in front of the door and slept there all night, so I could sleep. God Bless Daddy and his true love for me.  to be continued

Congrats on the baby bananas, I recognized the bloom in the first shot. My dad use to raise them. Only problem was there were always huge spiders on those plants.

You would not have liked living in AK when the lights went out.

I guessed banana at the first picture but then I got in doubt... I think maybe you showed baby bananas last year too? but before that I can't recall ever giving it a thought that they must originally come from a FLOWER, even though I usually eat at least one a day!!!

The first week or so when I moved to this apartment (after over 20 years in my previous home) I had a small lamp in the hall on all night, because everything was sort of "the other way round" from what I was used to. I thought I might get disorientated and bump into things if I had to go up in the night, feeling drowsy! But when I got settled in I felt no need of it. In the winter I do usually have some window lights on timer but not all night.

oh my word, these are all stunning photos. i particularly like that first one. Perfect!

yay! baby bananas! as far as i know baby banana is tastier and sweeter than regular banana. especially in milkshakes. you don't need any extra sugar, because the baby banana is so sweet in itself.

I did guess banana...but only because of the leaves! How cool that they are growing for you! They make quite a pretty picture.

Love that story about your dad. Did your mom get mad? I do not sleep in a dark house either. But I would have liked an open door even less.

I guessed it. They are so neat. I don't remember if you can eat them.

When the power goes out at night, It is darker than dark. LOL

I knew it was bananas because I have seen your pictures of them before. I think that is so cool to have them growing in your yard! Are they sweet like what we buy in the store? Great pictures!
