Yes, Ann, I did learn to do the Photoshop Elements 10 Text.... The poinciana that lives in a bucket and blesses us with red and yellow flowers has gone to seed... they look like art to me.
This shot is to show how ugly they are when they turn from green to brown, then they open in all sorts of shapes and twirls.
That shadow is The MadSnapper and below is for those of you that are not sure what a poinciana flower looks like and also shows the green the pods are when at first appearance.

Your pod art is quite beautiful. I like even the ugly ones. The way they twist as they dry is very artistic. Great shots!
Wow, the flower is quite beautiful! Interesting shapes they turn out to make...cool pictures. Have a great day and Happy Friday!
Very attractive pod photos...the flowers are gorgeous. From seed ...to flower....to pod and then all over again.
Those pods are just begging to be photographed. I love how they twist and turn,so very artistic. Wow.they are pretty.
But of course, they look like Art!!! All one has to do, is stop long enough, to notice.
"Camera People" stop and notice!!!
Mmmmm, a T-shirt saying?????? ,-)

Love those photos of the pods. The flower looks a bit like an orchid.
Best,
Bonnie
Sandra, really enjoy the art you find in your backnyard and share through your creative photos. You do much to "show" everyone that art, color, and nature's beauty are all around just need to look in our own backyard, even.
Just turn that ugly into something cool! I like your art.
Nature abounds with patterns, shapes and art. These are a great example.
You have a yard full of art. Everything is interesting!
You find the best things! I LOVE your blog! Have a fun weekend!
You know what I am thinking - if I took a picture of it with my camera it would be ugly and look like nothing - with your camera and the way it pops out - it is beautiful! sandie
very artful shots.
they remind me of mesquite beans. :)
Nature is an amazing artist, and I like that you see and photograph it us!
cool art...they look like what grows on our Memosa trees here...when I was a kid I loved playing with then...pretend they were green beans..
Everything about this plant is interesting. The flowers are pretty, the
pods are a beautiful colour inside and out when dry and they hang artistically.
Do the seeds fly out when the dry pod twists?
Sandra I know I sound like a broken record but you have the most creative eye and see beauty when most would not look twice!!!
Hugs C
You do have an eye for turning dead leaves and flowers into art!!!
The first time I saw a Poinciana was in the Holy Land. The tree was just bursting with beautiful blossoms.
Thanks for bringing back a wonderful memory.
Love the artsiness of the pods.
I've not heard of this plant- but the flower is just gorgeous!
Nice job on the pod art. The fresh ones look like peas in a pod of course and the flowers are beautiful.
Fascinating photos, Sandra. Thanks so much for sharing the different stages.
Enjoy the weekend.
Nature is art...just look at the frond from your last post. Beauty and art in are in the eye of the beholder.:)
Nice job on the pod art. The fresh ones look like peas in a pod of course and the flowers are beautiful.
I was staring at the first picture for a while because it is so cool and I thought oohhh she must have played with the text feature, then I scrolled down and it was like you read my mind....lol
Those are very cool looking and I don't think they are ugly at all once they turn brown. They have such character. Although I have to say the flower is gorgeous
these are all wonderful! they remind me of butter beans. :) I've got to take pics of your grandchildren. LOL
Once again, creative captures of patterns, textures and shapes!Way to snap, Madsnapper!
