Time for a smartphone.

It actually started with this: "Oh my god, you have a phone-a-saurus!"

Some of the arguments for a smartphone: "But what about checking email?" Won't it still be there when I get home? "You can update your Facebook." I don't have Facebook. "You can watch movies and videos." I have a 65-inch plasma, why would I watch a 3-inch screen? "You don't need to have boarding passes." I'm a big, strong guy; I can carry a boarding pass.  CLICK HERE to read more

Oh that sounds so like me... whilst my other half is so into gadgets and phones. She wants me to have her old Droid so she has an excuse to buy a new one. Not a chance! I like my little Nokia! We also have the Kindle Fire on pre order *sigh* x

The trouble with tech toys they get out of date within a few months even before you have time to learn to use them

I did take five minutes earlier this morning to read it - on my Android...! I wonder what he would have said to that, huh? I use mine mostly for other purposes than actual phone calls! (I actually have that barcode scanner app because my brother recommended it, but I've never used it)

Hey Mad Snapper we missed you. Speaking of cars we saw there was a huge 50+ car pile up in your city yesterday
We hope Mad Snapper was not out snapping but safe at home
Hugs

Do you feel something in the air??? The delightful aroma of Techy Revolt? Revolt against new Technology, I mean.

Wow I hope so. Isn't it time to just put our foot down and say; "No more!"?

Sure the *kiddies* will keep on using their parent's money, to buy all the latest stuff. But if we, without demanding kids in our households, would stop! Well, OUR MONEY is important to advertisers too!

Yeah, I know. What's the age demographic, advertisers care about? 13 to 28 or some such? Some ridiculously-low numbers anyway.

Over 30, no one spends money? Come on.

But then, their target group, are too young to have learned to THINK for THEMSELVES yet. No wonder they target the *clueless* with their adds.

I do like my Iphone...my son gave me his old one...with our business it helps to be able to check and send emails when I'm out of the office...but I could live without it if I had to...

I am so out of it! For my 7:30 a.m. physical this week, I studied my alarm clock for much too long and then set it.....I thought! Guess what! It did not go off that a.m. but that afternoon! Fortunately, my furry alarm clocks woke me!

This guy obviously has never been to East Texas. There are still areas where you can't get a signal on a cell phone.

Updates to technology used to be a good thing. Now it is getting out of hand. Ever few months they redo a phone and so many people have to keep up. There are smart tv's now - with the computer in them. $2500. You know pretty soon we will never have to communicate or talk to people live anymore.

No smart phones for me.

This is pretty funny...I still use a trackfone...I do not use 50 minutes a year on it...seriously. I had a regular phone with verizon for a while...not about to go that route again...this was years ago and not going to admit how much we paid for how few minutes we used...and that was when I worked and kids home and worked...still used it very, very little.

I have a long way to go before I completely understand my phone but that could have been written by Wade. He HATES his droid. Can't figure out how to do anything and it drives him nuts

Got both at this place. Even Buddy can use an Apple. It has features that are easier than Droid.

I was at race tracks with my bro in the 60's.

Wasn't it car tech that got us hooked on new shiny stuff that we just had to work for?
