RE-POST from July 9, 2009, the post got ONE comment.
If the Real Estate market was not upside down, we would be walking on the beach every morning looking at the above view, taken at 6:30 am
In the 28 plus years we have been married, every single vacation we took, twice a year most of the time, was at Ormond Beach which is part of Daytona Beach and that was our intended place of retirement.
We love the old frame houses, but these are just wonderful, they are sprinkled around in little nooks and crannies.
I mean where else could a photographer take a picture like the one above, looking DOWN on the bus and the traffic signal
this is a Ocean Walk Shoppes, Daytona Beach, right on the beach, if you click on the pictures and make them bigger, you can see the water in some of them, that would be the Atlantic Ocean right outside the Mall. We were there before it opened, so this snapping person could get the view without the hordes of people.

You were in Daytona! How cool--I have a good friend who lives there. If you ever get over to the Tallahassee area, let me know--we can get together and take pictures of stuff!
Sandra, what a fantastic ad your post is for Daytona Beach. Your great photos show the awesomeness of the area.
Love your 4th of July header~:)
It's going to be another hot one today. I could use a nice beach!

wow, daytona beach looks heavenly.
the photos are all exceptional!
great work on architectural photography, sandra!
beautiful buildings and the colours are amazing too.
it would take a lot for me to get used to the bright colors in florida, but i love those stone houses and buildings.
Your photos are spectacular. Those stone houses are cute as can be and I love to look out on the ocean. So peaceful.
John's parents retired to Venice FL from upper MI a long time ago. I visited with them twice before their passing.
All very nice, but the stone house and church are very, very wonderful! You can have the dream home you showed yesterday and can give me the stone cottage! Please...pretty please!
I do love all the color in the other shots...I think I could easily live with that.
Hi, I hope and pray that you make your dreams of living in Ormond come true sometime...
Ormond Beach looks like an awesome place. We were there once for my birthday--but were only there one night and stayed right on the beach. SO--we didn't see any of the quaint little town...
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
We were in Ormond Beach in August, 2009, to celebrate Betsy's birthday. We didn't see much besides the beach itself, but we certainly did like what we saw. That mall looks like quite a place.
I love the buildings and colors! And I can see YOU snapping! The first two houses I would really have a hard time choosing between!! The second one is very cute and looks like a fairy house. But the first one looks bigger and I like the portico thing, I don't know what it is, it even has a tiny little window.
Fascinating place. Without all the people around,it looks neat and tidy.

It's been over 25 years since I've been in that area. We use to go to New Smyrna Beach often. Love the pictures!
Years ago my aunt used to go to Daytona Beach every winter. That mall is seriously cool.
Beautiful :)
I think it would be a beautiful place to live too Sandra! sandie
It's been a really long time since I was in Daytona Beach. Looks like a lot has changed. I love that first photo of the beach. Our temps have broken records for the past two days and that makes that beach look even more inviting.
Well...I guess I like to VISIT cities but not live in them. I like all the photo ops there, though!!
WOW~ I love those pictures of the different colored buildings! So cool!
Terrific pictures sweet Sandra. Lots of bright pretty colors. Looks like a great place to go visit and enjoy. Hugs
