Backyard Looking UP

I stood staring up at my favorite pine in our back yard jungle and decided to
show you what we see when looking up

Tuesday AM just before daylight, I was in the pool doing exercises and I heard a noise of something walking in the jungle growth....

I got out and flapped/popped the towel several times and a really really Big

went running up the pine  tree and out on that bottom left limb.

Living in a jungle in the middle of the city, we still have wild life.

Avocado tree
Click here for former post on Loblolly Pine  or here for our amazing
Avocado Tree that Bob planted from a seed.  if you visit, scroll down past todays post to see the old ones.
Fish tail palm, bamboo and schefflera tree
the above trees cover 100 feet across the back yard
Below is part of the giant pine I was looking up into.
it is not dead, the needles are raining down on us now.

I grabbed this aerial view of our house, you can see we are in an oasis surrounded by trees...Our Back and front yard are all jungle.

You were in the pool. Wow! I can't imagine that even though you are in Florida. Your raccoon friend was an interesting sighting!

We so wished we had an avocado tree. Lucky you. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly

A pool among the trees in your own backyard - now that would be awesome!

Raccoons are so deceptively cute! They can be so destructive. I can't get over your amazing avocado tree. I'm sure I'd weigh 20 pounds more than I do if I had an avocado tree in my yard. LOVE them!

Raccoons are kinda cute. My sister-in-law (out in the country) has her share of trouble with them. They're really nosey, and destructive. They tip over things and get into feeders.

I'd love living in your jungle... The more trees around us, the BETTER!!!! I love the privacy -and I love SHADE...

BUT--if I lived in FL--I'd want a POOL too... SO--you all have the best of all worlds!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

Have you ever seen a raccoon in your yard before? It's spring, maybe he has babies. They go into homes and such now because they know where people are, there is food. Speaking of jungle, do you get a lot of spiders inside?

I think it's wonderful that you have so many trees surrounding you. We planted a couple in our garden, but it will be many years until they are grown large enough to shield us.

I love trees, the more the better. Unless they obstruct my view too much. I love my view. So many of our trees are going to have to be cut down. They are dying due to the drought we had. I loved them in the front yard as they helped shield us from the traffic. My view I speak of is in the back yard.

So pretty that you have all those trees surrounding your house Sandra. Neat shot of the aerial view. We get lots of raccoons around here too.

I'm jealous of the fact that you were in the pool. This morning when I went to work it was only 35 degrees.

I love the jungle that surrounds your house. It looks so much nicer than a fence

You definitely have a lot of trees, I like that! We had a lot at our last house.

I love the idea of a house surrounded by trees. I am pretty sure I would love your home and yard.

Quite a surprise...the raccoon, that is! You are blessed to have all the green...for your enjoyment and your privacy!

I think it was a good idea to surround your house with trees to help with the heat and for privacy and to have critters visit. I bet they all know where you live :)

I like your yard oasis, that's one way to get privacy. You have some really beautiful trees. No wonder the raccoons like to hang out at your place where the climbing is good.

While I'm not crazy about the raccoon that joined you for your exercises, I do like your jungle. The aerial shot is neat.

Those raccoons can be such pests (even though they are cute) but they steal cat food if you leave it out. Awesome aerial view of your own private jungle.

I love your jungle...we have had Raccoons around here too...the dogs had a posseum treed on the fence the other night...

I was pretty sure you were covered by trees on both sides and the back. I don't blame ya. For the three acres here, I wish we had more cover up. I love privacy. I admit it! More trees, the better!

Hope the raccoon doesn't decide to join you in the pool one morning, Sandra. Nice to have an avocado tree nearby as they are auite costly in the local supermarket.

Was this one of the avacadoes Bob started in a bucket? How come you haven't posted photo of his thumb? It has got to be an amazing green!

Have a blessed and joyous weekend!
