Black and White Sunday...Saw Palmetto and Palm

These Saw Palmetto trees are in a circle around our biggest pine tree. I have dozens of photos of it from over the years. I found if I take the photos in black and white and edit them a little in PicMonkey, the details are amazing.

My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.

The reason I talk to myself, is I am the only one whose answers I accept...

quote by George Carlin but it is true about me...

Below is a palm in the corner of the yard but not sure of the name.

It is interesting how the details pop in black and white...I've noticed that before. I'll be seeing some palmettos next month when we go to Jekyll for our family beach trip!
Happy Sunday to you!

Awesome black and whites. I like the quotes too. I think I would probably kill a fake plant the same way...lol
The quote by George Carlin is almost the same thing I say all the time

These pictures are amazing and you sure can see all of the detail. My sister in South Carolina has a Palmetto something or other in her front yard. She has to trim the fronds from the bottom. My, it is so pretty. I really like these black and whites.

Plant you anywhere and you will find some creativity, Sandra, even in the back yard, and I so agree with the Carlin quote.

A good idea to edit the palms in black and white as you get interesting contrasts and shapes. Something to try after I've visited the Palm House in town. Have a good day, Sandra.
