was HORRIFIED to see a Cobweb, 2 feet long, from the light in the ceiling down to the bottom shelf.. (am I admitting this on LIVE INTERNET??)
There is a lot of glass in this Nook.......Click on colored link to Once Upon A Nook to see the story and why I have a love/hate relationship with it..
Do cobwebs love light? Is that why they are on the lampshades?
Why do they hang from the ceiling?
Who makes the webs? Spiders? why don't I see the webs UNTIL they are long and stringy?
why don't we see them when they are 3 inches not 20 inches long?
Do they just appear? create themselves?
OH MY GOODNESS they ARE CREATED by SPIDERS, even the tiny ones that hang from the ceiling....so where are all these spiders, I don't see them?

Yikes no a fan of spiders be they big or small. However the web looks very arty. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
I do not like spiders.. Especially hanging over my head!!
Wishing you a happy weekend, free of webs!
Well, "Miss Muffet", it's good to find you back on your tuffet!
Best,
Bonnie
Cobwebs seem to have become a permanent fixture in my house. There's no getting rid of them. The most annoying one is the one that we walk through every morning when we go out the front door. Luckily Wade is the first one out the door on most days
Sandra! I think the webs that hang from ceilings are created by very tiny spiders! ;)
I admire anyone who cn keep so much glass without fear of breaking it. I am pure KLUTZ.
oh the video did bring tears.
I am constantly on the lookout for spider webs. It seems those pot lights in the ceilings really attract the spiders.
When we had our various homes for sale, I would go around with a long feather duster to clean with.
we have cobbies here all the time. :)
MOL MS...if I, Madi, lived with you I'd be happy as a clam to jump up on your glass shelves, weave my lush tail in and out of your crystal to dust it.
Sincerely
Madi(son) D. cat
I have had a cobweb problem here worse this year than ever before. Let's just say I have learned not to walk around with my mouth open.
That would be a lot of glass to dust and keep clean, but it is beautiful!
When the sun shines I suddenly see cobwebs everywhere, in my house!
Cobwebs are pretty amazing creations. And that video brought tears to my eyes. That was soooo cool!!
webs? Not here! LOL....if you believe that, I have some property for sale in the gulf...you may be interested. [just kidding]
The worst for me is walking INTO a web. I get the heebie-jeebies.
ps....just watched the kiss of the century!!! Awesome.
This must be the time of year because they seem to be everywhere!!!...:)JP
Yes, of course I blubbed.
What a wonderful bit of film, showing that animals have a lot more to them than we know.
Thanks for that Sandra.

Oh my gosh, the lion video is amazing!! YES, I also had to look it up! They are indeed webs that certain spiders have put out in order to get from place to place and then abanded. One is the brown cobweb spider, and one is the black widow! I have an idea, why don't you get some of those Swiffers on a stick like I have. Every week or so, just run them around the nook, it would take a minute. Then at times you can do a more complete cleaning. So it would keep it free of all of cobwebs, that is what I would do. I love my Swiffers...no more bending and damp paper towels. Just one refill lasts a long, long time.
Of COURSE I cried, silly. And it made me miss my huge long-haired German Shepherd. I know, not a cat, but a dog who was so sweet and protective and loyal and LOVED ME. sniff sniff.
I hope you and my daughter are never in the same room when a spider lands near you. LOL I have no issue with spiders. My horrors are reserved for mice. HATE MICE.
Let's take two chairs to Fountains Abbey. We can both sit there and meditate. BTW, it was Good Friday when I took that photo. Must've been in 2007. Good grief, that was so long ago!
I know what you mean!!! Sometimes I find whole curtains of spider webs that look like decorations from a haunted house!! We have two huge doll cabinets in the living room and they desperately need cleaning. This will take an entire DAY! They will have to wait until October!
I love this video!!! And yes, I'm crying. :) I love animals and I believe that there's a special place in hell for people that miss treat them.
hope you're enjoying your weekend!
They appear overnight in my dining room. the video was amazing.
Just say it is your Halloween decor. That's my line.
I have looked up before where cobwebs come from...it is funny, I get them in my kitchen...in one area. have to vacuum it down about every other time I vacuum. I seldom see a spider in there now, but used to killed at least one ever other day. They must have learned to hide!
I loved that video!!! What an incredible moment that must have been. It was indeed very emotional. Thank you also for the chuckle on those cobwebs. Yes I have some of those around here. Maybe I had better turn this off and go get them, but then I've got to visit that link first and then I'll probably forget all about the cobwebs ;) Well, I can always get them tomorrow!
People must think I'm doing a "happy dance" when I walk through webs that like to appear at my front door. I have to always check that before our bible study group comes on Tuesday nights.
Not fond of spiders that's for sure.
Love seeing that video again. Its so heart warming.
Oh my goodness this was funny and scary at the same time. I laughed about the "Nook" and the story of your love/hate relationship with it. I laughed about the cobwebs appearing from no where comments but it was rather scary to realize they actually are made by spiders. Ick!
That video was amazing.
i smiled at the lion loving. It was the spiderweb that had me weepy. If it weren't for occasional overnight guests descending upon us, our casual cleaning habits might make our home permanently ready for Halloween--spiderwebs, giant haunted dust bunnies and such.
I find these strands in our spare room every now and again, but I never see a spider in there, very sneaky little things.
Love your glass all shining in the sunlight.
Ugh... It is that time of year when all of the creepy crawlies try to get in the house for the winter. I seen a few stink bugs today... Yesterday I seen a huge web outside with the biggest spider. I took pictures. I'll have to show them to you when I get them off my camera.
Oh my gosh I love that video. Cats (of all sizes) are very smart and have good memories. The lion looks so happy to see his rescuer.
I hate cobwebs and periodically go on patrol to make sure they are taken care of. Of course the next day the light will change and I see all the ones I missed.
You take boredom to the highest of artistic levels...love it and it keeps me coming back for more ♥
I love your collection of glass items. I don't do well with spider webs at all! Love the video...so precious.
