Stroll Over Heaven With You

Photo 1942

Today would  be my mothers 89th Birthday. The pink of this print was her favorite color. We call it Mother's Pink

In Memory of My Mother
1925-1990
Mary Lucille Overby McCall
born September 22, 1925
Palmetto Florida

The words are below to Alan Jackson, I want to stroll over Heaven.

Stroll Over Heaven With You by Alan Jackson

If I survey all the good things that come to me from above
If I count all the blessings from the storehouse of love

I'd simply ask for the favor of him beyond mortal king
And I'm sure he would grant it again
I want to stroll over Heaven with you some glad day

When all our troubles and heartaches are vanished away
Then we'll enjoy the beauty where all things are new
I want to stroll over Heaven with you

So many places of beauty we long to see here below
But time and treasures have kept us from making plans as you know

But come the morning of rapture together we'll stand a new
While I stroll over Heaven with you

I want to stroll over Heaven with you some glad day
When all our troubles and heartaches are vanished away
Then we'll enjoy the beauty where all things are new

I want to stroll over Heaven with you

That is a great song. Wishing you pretty pink memories on this day. Your mother was a beautiful lady and she raised a sweet, beautiful, and fun-loving daughter.

I wrote about the loss of both my aunt and uncle in today's post, but I'm still not up to blogging regularly quite yet. I hope to post some "before" pics of the house in the next few days. We're a long ways from showing "after" pics, tho! Take care!

That song was just wonderful. You mom looked so pretty. It is so hard to lose our mothers and you know it doesn't get any easier when you get older does it - seem to miss them more!

I knew this was your mom immediately. It's been a long time for both of us, hasn't it? I adore the words to this song, it sounds so easy and wonderful.

Nice photo. I like seeing our mothers in a way we never got to see them--in most cases. I remember my mom having several pairs of high heels in boxes, but she was beyond wearing them (bunions) as I came along late in her life. I would have loved to see a photo of her wearing them.

Beautiful tribute for your Mom.
What a beautiful lady she was.

I like Alan Jackson. He is one of my fav. I like some songs in Country music. The older ones vs the new country songs. Not my type.

The older country songs I enjoyed.
Nice you have those memories close to your heart. You do fav her in looks.

As we get older. Losing our Moms mean so much more to us as the other Sandra commented on your blog.

I feel the same. Nothing like a Mother and her daughter.
