If I Die First... Bob will have a few lessons to learn...
Crumbs do not disappear off the counter... (eventually they become hills)
Old hearing aid batteries do not throw themselves in the trash.. (more hills)
Food does not Appear in the fridge/cabinets....
Bills do not pay themselves...which means He will be sitting in a dark house, with no TV/computer and no Phone to call for help ..
linens do not strip from the bed and reappear clean that same night and clothing does not wash/dry and reappear in drawer/closet.
Pain Meds and Tums do not get beamed into the baskets where they live.
Pills do not appear in the organizer and once a week pop themselves in the weekly organizer.
(once back in 1990, Max the dog was on a prescription, I handed Bob the pill to give to Max because it required brute strength, and Bob popped it in his mouth and swallowed it. I said
"that was the dog pill" he said "don't worry unless I start to chase cars")
Yes, I called the vet and after he quit laughing, he said no problem.
He said ''the ones in the green box, not the purple,'' ''those are yours.''
I said "what will you do if I die first?" He replied "I just won't take them"

This rings a bell. I deal with most money matters as Tom hates it all. I've got tins here and there with bits and bobs in and if I die in a hurry (probably will as everything I do is urgent. lol) he would not know what was what.
Love the dog pill story Sandra.

OH MY WORD! You hit the nail on the head. I think Grant would also eat the dogs' vitamin pill, instead of giving it to the dog, if I handed it to him. I had to laugh like the vet, though! We don't take any meds yet and don't wearing hearing aids, but Oh my, you 're so right about the crumbs on the counter becoming hills; the fridge which would empty and no-one would be there to fill it. And the linen would eventually disintergrate - although knowing my darling husband, he'd phone me in my after-death state and ask when I was coming to sort it all out again! I loved this post. Have a great day. Jo PS I sent you a mail about my post...
I am laughing! Love the dog pill story. If I die, I don't think John will eat, take medicine, bathe or clean house!!!
I am sorry, I had to laugh at this post. I have found crumbs and the hearing aid batteries. But, hubby does keep track of his meds (he has a lot of diabetic stuff) and actually does his own laundry. I have to mention the sheets though or I will do them myself. He likes to do the food shopping too.
I am glad your hubby has you to take care of him! Enjoy your day!
And I think this is why God made most women to outlive their spouses!
I guess if you die first he will be following you shortly. I imagine most men would be in Bob's situation!
I feel like giving my husband a huge hug for being super self-sufficient!!
Best,
Bonnie
Haha. Don't worry unless I start to chase cars! That BOB!! :-))
i have to agree with kathy. :)
MOL MOL MOL LOL LOL LOL LOL MR. BOB TOOK MAX'S PILL. ONE THING I CAN SAY AFTER I QUIT LOLing is you have him well trained to take whatever you give him. OH are you right about 99.9% of those things you mentioned.
still cackling at the dog pill!
hugs madi and mom
We just came from the other blog.. that was amazing especially the video!!
Its great that you are there to take care of the home and things, and really funny story about the pill.
Roger relies on me for a lot of things, but when it comes down to it, he can and will do what is required. He did fine the month I was in California last year. (I had worried.)
There will be lots to learn here, too, if I go first. There will also be lots to learn if he goes first, I will have to drive the tractor AND know how to repair it.
Great post!
He would be lost without you!!!
I'm looking forward to being gone for 17 days and hoping that they notice what I actually do for them......
Bob is so funny! I'm glad the dog pill was ok for people!
You're a good woman to take such good care of Bob! :)
I'm pretty sure that men have some unwritten law that says when they get married they totally forget how to take care of themselves.
I'm cracking up over Bob taking the dogs pill
Craig keeps up with eating and his stocks, that's it. lol such a funny and true post!!
Sandra...it's hot here!! high of 100!!!
LOL! So true on many points. I remember when I had my knee replaced and Greg had to do the grocery shopping. I got 2 or 3 phone calls per trip. Where's this or where's that?? Well, that's why people are employed there so you can ask...duh! But since I've had my knee problems at least he does the laundry. I'm counting my blessings.
I do believe your Hubby and mine have the same DNA.
too funny Sandra.
Love the pictures that accompany this post.
WHAT a great post!!! So TRUE!!!!!
I do ALL those things and Louis Dean is SO 'Bob!' Except Louis Dean WILL run errands for me if I give him a list!
Once I gave LD a sleeping pill every morning for 2 weeks - because it looked EXACTLY like his heart pill - they had changed the manufacturer. He STILL relies on ME to do his meds!!!! Poor guy!
When we go in for his appointment Thursday in prep for his surgery next week, we have to take ALL his pill bottles! I think I will put them all in a small tub!
I LOVE your posts!!!!
You are a hoot - I hope you are teaching Bob along the way!
...and much of it is done online, passwords...I have one of those husbands, too.
Dog pills & greenbox pills a-ok but not the purple box pills. Got it. Too cute! And I love the seals and the PK3 pup birth. Wow. Thank you.
LOL! It is the same way at my house too! If I die first my husband will be clueless! 3 years ago when I had my surgery I double paid all of the bills because one I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it when they came in a month later and two who knows if you are going to make it through surgery? Luckily, since my husband won't and don't go to the doctor he doesn't take any pills. So I don't have to do that for him. I can't believe Bob took your dog's pill! lol That is funny!
