Oh Honey, well we need a Heater

Think coldest day of our year, 34 degrees is COLD in Florida...we wake up at 4 AM and NO HEAT. We had the heat pump repaired one week ago on the 2nd coldest day this year 42 degrees... OH NOOOOOOOO.

I called on Saturday, He came on Monday... A trip to Walmart saved the day. This little guy is a Wow if you ever need one.

comes Monday the Heat guy rolls in and with one glance says there is  the problem. 15 minutes and we had heat. A simple wire had burned through. 5 minute repair. I had a STUNNING PHOTO of the wire to share but in all my frenzy of deleting photos IT IS GONE. Trust me is was Beautiful.. the photo I mean... Not the 85.00 for 15 minute repair. Not all is lost...we have this almost stunning photo of our heater that i did not delete... Wave at me if you wish I had deleted it.

I'm thankful that WM had a heater in stock with your weather being unusually cold. Always something!

Good morning, your little heater is cute. I know from listening to my son, just how much they charge for HVAC repairs. I do not like being cold. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

34 degrees and no heat? Get back in touch with me when you have -34 and no heat! That is a cute little heater though.

Best,
Bonnie

Good thing you found that little heater! I hear that you're getting a blizzard. Drag out your parkas and snow pants. (Oh wait, that's OUR blizzard). Lol. That looks like a great little heater. Was that 34 your indoor or outdoor temp??? ;-) lol

I think it's totally unfair the cost of a 15-minute repair. But you don't want to let me loose on that topic...just ask my husband. ;)

Wire burn not good . Aye Mrs fire gal.

I thought you may have come up with a solution your pretty intelligent with reason. Even if it is one of your delightful humors.

I like your guy standing there. Not your hubby. Your heater.

I have to be careful with words.

Oh trying to get this finished here.

Firemen coming into test our fire alarms in each room. We have 50 units in the whole building.
Maybe your in the fire brocade coming and going to surprise me as we have lady Firemen.

It would be cool if you could. I could meet you with ear plugs. And a big smile back. I am dreaming right.

Our bell in our Apts are as big as Bigger.

Do you know some elderly I was told. Put socks in them so they stop ringing. As the ring will knock you off your feet but some do not realize safety prevention saves your life. The bell is high as I don't know how they ever have the nerve to stand on a chair and think a fall never happens to them.

So that is what the firemen are checking as well at 10.30 today.

No you are double protected or like us, you have a big heater for the living room and your little heater for the bedroom :-).

Thanks so much for your encouraging words on my post this morning!

So you had to have the guy out again? Great idea to have a small heater on hand for days like that!

I'm glad it was an easy fix (if not a cheap one!) and your cute mini-heater did such a good job in the meantime!

Much too, too cold for Florida.
Glad you could find a good little heater to keep you cozy in emergency times.
I just hate what you have to pay for a service call. Wish I could fix things myself.

I'm glad that burned wire didn't start a fire! Nice looking heater from Wally World. Isn't it ridiculous what they charge for a few minutes work? Our phone was out several days and they told me if the problem was on our side it would cost $99 to fix it. Luckily it was on their side. :)

I agree with Anni, your words are priceless! Glad you got that heater. Ouch on the repair cost.

well 34 is cold no matter where you live and to wake up to that temperature and no heat is not a nice way to start the day. Good thing you had your Honey(well)

We had to buy supplemental heaters to get us through last winter. They were life savers!
