Good Fence Thursday.. Big Cat Habitat CATS

Tiger
These photos were taken at Big Cat Habitat, a wild life rescue for abused animals or animals that were raised by humans and can not be set free.  This is not a zoo and is only open twice a week to raise money to feed them. They have natural habitats to live in, not cages.

These cats are looking good and feline good...and I think they are awfully purrretty....

Liger
A Liger is a lion bred with a tiger. This big guy could look me in the face, he weighs 1000 pounds and is the biggest they have ever seen and still growing. He does not have a mane because the mane is just for fighting off other males and he has no one to fight. He is a male liger, 7 years old.. Males like mules can not produce babies.

I think they should have named this big guy Jean Clawwed Van Damn.

I am smitten with these kittens.... Joining TexWisGirl for Good Fence Thursday and this IS a good fence, actually there were three fences between me and Brutus... and a guard to keep people outside the fencing.

Yeah, I'm glad they've got Good Fences between those big cats and the visitors. Huge animals. Love your name suggestion. Haha.

I will never ever understand why an individual would buy a wild animal...too much money and no brains I guess. Thank goodness this facility is there to take in those beautiful creatures.
Liger is amazing!!

These big kitties are so pretty, their color is my favorite. Sandy, your photos tell a story. My cat "Tater Pie" is 16 year old this year and still going strong.

Great shots Sandra!:) These large cats are powerful and beautiful animals, and need a good strong fence around them. I would love to see a Liger.

Jean Clawed is of tremendous size! My goodness. And all are so handsome. It lightens my heart knowing they're being taken care of in all their needs.

Never heard of a liger before!!! :O
Who does he live with? Tigers or lions? Is he accepted by any of them?

That would be a perfect name for that liger.:)

They NEED a good fence for them! I've heard of a Liger, but haven't seen one. I guess they do exist. I don't think I'd want to have to keep them fed!
