Big Cat Habitat - Tortoise

“Do students in the Galapagos study tortoise law?”

A tortoise crawls into a bar and says to the barman, "Have you seen my Dad?"
"I don't know," says the barman. "What does he look like
?"

A disturbed tortoise crawls into a police station.
"I've been robbed by a murderous gang of snails, he announces.
"Calm down," says a cop. "Just tell us everything that happened."
"That's difficult," says the tortoise. "It all happened so fast!"

Yes, I know I am not a tortoise, but it was just another day in parrot-dise and I was the only parrot Madsnapper took a photo of. I must say she a-parrotly blurred my photo .

Cool tortoises. I like the picture of the parrot too. It doesn't look blurry to me. It looks sort of like there is an overlay over the parrot.

love your funnies! love all your photos, love animals. :) the parrot looks like a love bird? pretty pic!
we have rescued/helped two turtles here. new developments run box turtles out of their homes and they like to live in the area where they hatched. so sad. Kyle moved a fox out of the road, behind our house, the other night. he or she had passed away he just didn't want it lying in the road all night. he said he could hear whimpering/crying from the side of the road. so sad. it was the same area where we saw the fox pups running around last year. so proud of my son. :)

I'm back one more time today, after reading the comment you left me...

about the Native American Tree Markers.

There WERE Native Americans in this same area [a burial ground is nearby]...but this tree, I think, is too young, probably not even 20 years old. Very small.

Interesting tho. I just read about them. from her link provided.

Ha ha!! My favorite is your last picture and caption! Even blurred, this bird is so fluffy and has a gorgeous autumn orange color. He is totally gorgeous!! Wonderful snap and fun to look at. Parrot-dise and apparottly blurred, love it!! Love the sun on the tortoise's shells and seeing their cute little low houses. I have never seen tortoise homes before!

Great photos. They truly are magnificent and your puns gave me a chuckle. Just what Ieeded, thank you :) Slowly trying to catch up after being off line for a while. Thank you for leaving such sweet comments while I was away.

So, a tortoise is really a kind of cat, although less cuddly... and slower...? (I think I probably missed a post or two in this Big Cat series, LOL)

Aw, those desert tortoises (tortisi?) are so mellow! I've a FB friend who adopted one as a teaching tool for her toddler son... so far, so good. (I dunno ... if I can't hold it in my lap and have it lick my face, I'll take a pass.)

Wow, wish my chest were so pretty as that parrot's.
(TMI? LOL!)
