To Pipe or not to Pipe..

These are pipes in the park.. Can Anyone think of a reason they would cut this pipe like this?

UPDATE: I found out why some are round and some are shaped. it has to do with whether it runs into water, or onto dirt or gravel or rocks/gravel and also depends on if it is rainwater run off or comes from another source...now we know.

Can anyone of you think of a reason I took a photo of these drain pipes????

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE..

Someone  said an air strike is being planned. I hope they settle it, quickly.
I can't hold my breath longer than 40 seconds.

I'm learning to speed read. This morning, I managed to read "War and Peace" in 52 seconds.
I know it's only three words, but it's a start

FUNNY! LOVE the War & Peace! This must be a drainage ditch pipe. Either that or..horror of horrors...some factory or someone is ditching chemicals into the water. There has been a HUGE fight going on here over a new pipeline that is going to be put in. Signs are out in people's yards, it will go through people's farms, it's a big mess. I think it will go through more than one state.

Because it is artfully pleasing.

I would have placed the cut down. I don't understand that cut.

I was going to take a guess on the drain pipe that it was so that the water running out wouldn't wash away the dirt right under the opening.
Funny jokes, I got a good laugh over the air strike. Good job on the speed reading.:)

I enjoyed the "air strike" and "War & Peace" more than anything I've read in a long time!

PS - I've joined in the fun at Global Comfort FAB, and in so doing discovered one of my co-workers is also a rescue advocate!
