Gone in less than 2 seconds.. RIP

Wed. AM, I made the decision to Clean The Nook.. all that Glass.... the first thing I picked up was the above candle holder. WHAM! CRASH! CRACK!  Gone in under 2 seconds. The blink of an eye

It fell out of my hand as I went to sit it on the glass table.. I have no idea how one of the gazillion pieces it broke into managed to slice my finger and cause enough blood flow to think were making a war movie.                      I will live, don't panic.. and it is not my typing fingers, just the thumb. Oddly enough I can't seem to COOK or WASH dishes...........3 fingers will cooperate, but the thumb and forefinger are opposed... brahahaha

If it was a perfume bottle I could have hung a s Sign on it that says , "Out of odor"

PS.. the nook is still in need of cleaning

Leave that nook until you feel well enough - thumb wise. We need you here on Blogger much more than the nook needs cleaning. Seriously though, sorry your candle holder broke and sorry you were hurt. I hate cutting myself and have done it several times already this year! Rest up now and take care of that injury.

And this is where Bob sweeps in for the rescue and offers to clean all the glass in the nook, do the dishes and the cooking while you put your feet up and take care of that thumb. Oh. That's right, this is non fiction, not fantasy. Lolol. (No slam on Bob, just being silly). And it's such a pain even getting jeans on when your thumb has a cut like that. Hope it heals fast.xo

So sorry about this. Only you could tell it in such a cute way with your edits etc. I admire your attitude and hope today's a better day.

I just checked with my "personal" physician and he said you shouldn't cook, do dishes or clean house for the rest of the month. Enjoy!

Best,
Bonnie

Glad you're okay. I guess Bob will jump in and wash those dishes for you!

Cleaning? Blood? Oh my gosh! Thank goodness it wasn't your typing finger! Why is January the month for purging and cleaning? I started then..... welll let's just say..... I am too lazy! Lol

Oh my GOSH, I am sorry! I have also found out that with these kind of injuries, you should not clean, vacuum, or do laundry. That all causes great stress to the wound. LOVE your edits, this is like watching an action movie! Only YOU are the victim. The double reflections in the first picture are beautiful! I LOVE the crash edit, and your finger is suitably (and sadly) gory. Looks like it might need stitches. Did you keep this out all year? Will you try to replace it? R.I.P pretty crystal.

P.S. I am assuming Bob cleaned it up while you tended to your wound. That must have been a job to get all the little pieces, so paws wouldn't get glass splinters. Hope Jake was outside when it happened.

I bet that was a mess for BOB (not) to clean up too. I crack myself up

glad you didn't need medical attention. you could ask Bob to clean the nook, but if you're anything like me I would clean it again after hubby tried to clean it. lol
hope you got all the glass up, that is one difficult clean up.

That boo-boo should be good for a 3-day vacation from washing dishes!
But I'm sorry about the glass and that you got hurt. I am notorious for injuring my big toe!

I'm still giggling at HiC's comment...What I wouldn't give to have coffee with you and her...the laughs would be heard around the globe!!

So sorry about your glass loss, and hope your thumb feels better soon (welll...maybe after a few days of no dishes ;-)

Ouch! No,you should not be cooking or cleaning till that cut is healed.LOL

I don't suppose you could talk Bob in to cleaningbthe nook for you while your finger heals

Lois said...

Oh no! I hope it heals fast and I'm sorry about your candle holder.

Oh nooooo! I agree, it's too dangerous for you to risk re-opening that wound while cooking or cleaning. Methinks a Culvers' fix is in order?

BTW, Tom had his cataract surgery today. I had your posts open on my Amazon fire while we were waiting, just in case he felt prone to chicken out. LOL.

Oh, goodness, that 'out of odor' line just about cracked me up. You and Roger are two of the quickest witted people I have ever seen.

Ouch! - So sorry about breaking the pretty crystal and hurting yourself as well. Not fun but you have a good sense of humor about it all.

You must have caught what I have when it comes to glass lately. The magic touch--now you see it, now you don't! Now if I could just pull a BUNNY out of this hat...Sorry you cut your thumb. Gee, I wonder how long you can get out of doing dishes with an injury like that! Take care! No more cleaning for you. ;)
