Portable Hard Drives

Which of the above photos is my external hard drive????

I have Four External Hard drives.  2 of the little black one, 1 of the big silver one PLUS BOB my hubby. Keep this in mind.... I can't see a thing without my glasses, and need help when wearing glasses, he has 20/20 with no glasses. My memory is a thing of the past, his is excellent. I can hear a cricket chirp in the back yard, he can't hear thunder right over our heads.

Driving to the YMCA Tuesday morning I tried to tell Bob about something I saw yesterday while out and about. I could not remember where I saw it.

I said "Where did I go yesterday?"

He promptly answered, to Publix for prescriptions and the river to take photos.

I said OMW, You are my portable memory hard drive"

He said "I'm 81 and soon will not be able to get around, I will be your hard drive and you can be my walker/driver.

I replied "I can drive us to the store, you can point out where I should turn and things that I might run over. I can push you around the store, you can tell me what to put in the basket.

He said You can be my ears and I will be your eyes...

We went on for 10 minutes in that vein, until we got out of the car.

There is much more to tell you but I can't remember it.... BE Right Back, I have to go ask my Human Hard Drive what I left out of this post..... heh heh heh

Ha Ha!!Still LOL!:=) All this is not knew to me, except for the hard drive bit. I'm Americo's ears, and he is my eyes,... we would find it difficult to function without each other. Talk about team work! Are'nt we lucky!:=)

LOVE this. Wade is always telling people that I am his eyes and he is my ears. As for the memory, well he says his is perfect but I'm not so sure about that. I think mine is in much better shape than his is

Oh how I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post, Sandra! Enjoy your back-up hubby ! I have literally misplaced my external hard drive. It's driving me mad trying to think where I could've put it. Now if Grant was here he would say: I saw you putting it... Oh *sigh*. Have a great day. Jo

Good morning, this sounds very familiar. My hubby has the hearing problem and a better memory than I do. We seem to function being together. I have 3 of the external hard drives. It is amazing to see how much smaller the latest one is compared to my first external hard drive. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

Another great post. Probably because I relate. When I mention the RG's lack of hearing he responds 'huh'? He gets me every time.

How I envy you the BOB-drive. Living alone and realising the mind is becoming very disarrayed is a slightly disconcerting concept... YAM xx

BG and I are both getting a little hard of hearing and we both can't remember squat. That's a little disturbing 'cause I wonder at times what we'll be like in a few more years. I'd love to have Bob's 20 20 vision and memory!
Now for my stupid question. I'm the least techie person around so why are external hard drives needed? For more space? Surely I've heard about these at some point, but there's that memory problem! :)

I SO much enjoy our beginning of the day chats! You two totally compliment each other! Phil has 2020 vision too, even with all his eye surgeries. But we are both losing our hearing now. It makes for funny days, as you well know. Phil can also remember things that happened way way in the past, and I cannot. I cannot remember what you have told me about Bob and hearing aids. He maybe has one, but won't use it? Bob really IS your computer memory drive! I have maybe 20,000 pictures and all kinds of other things on my computer, and have not backed anything up. Our computer guy said it was so much that it would take a couple days to download. He took our computer to his house and backed up. But that was many years ago, and the drive is lost. Later, a new computer guy plugged our new drive in and told us just to leave it run, and follow the prompts. We left it in,but did not know what to do or what the prompts meant. Fail! He said it would be easy, and it was not. I really need to do this! If you know of a portable hard drive storage that is for dummies, please let me know.

Best post EVER!! I felt just like I was in the back seat listening! You two make such a perfect couple! My heart is so full of happiness for both of us! God gave us the perfect husbands! And we both appreciate them so much! I say that even though Louis Dean woke me up from a dead sleep by eating cereal at 2:30 this morning! It wouldn’t have been so bad if he’d used a glass bowl but NO! He used a stainless steel mixing bowl and kept hitting it with his spoon! Over and over with each and every bite! And it was a big bowl that took a fourth of a Huge Box of cereal so this went on for a good while! We are inside the 31 foot camper and the sound was deafening! He went back to bed AND went to sleep while I stayed awake until 6:00 this morning. I just now woke up! I’m sleeping in the girl bunk tonight! It least it is at the other end of the 31 feet! We both really do enjoy our adventures with these guys, don’t we?

I know that you are aware of this, but you are so fortunate to have Bob with you. I know that my hubby had a mind that was much sharper than mine, but now I have to wing it on my own.

I agree that tyhis was a fun post, Sandra. Like you, I also have several hard drives, both the external portable ones and Grenville. I am the one who could get lost in a paper bag which is WHY he does the long distance driving, and I read the road signs and watch for traffic.

Too funny Sandra.
You actually sound like the conversations Dave and I have.
We say that between the two of us we have one good brain, eyesight and ears.
We make a pretty good team.

You two are so funny! Do you like the Seagate brand? We were just talking about getting an external hard drive last night. Mark had me on Amazon and Wally World looking and I don't know a thing about what kind to get. Y'all have a good weekend!

My answer would be the one in the t-shirt. Who knew they were all your portable hard drives? It sounds like the two of you perfectly complement the other.
