Stealing from Sunday Stealing

I follow Respice Respite and while reading her questions that she answered from Sunday Stealing, I decided to Steal a few of the questions. Please pick a few or all and tell me your answers in comments. I am doing this on Saturday so you have time to READ and COMMENT I took it from 15 questions to 8.

1. Do you use certain text or ring tones for specific people? Who gets their own?

No, because my phone will not do that. IF IT DID I WOULD..

2.When did you get your first digital camera? Are you all digital now? Do you still use film?

Feb. 24, 2002, I paid 89.00 for a Kodak Easy Share 3.5 Mega Pixel..  I know this because we got our dog Baby on Feb 22, and next day at work my friend came with a new camera, she told me to take it home to take pics of Baby, from the first SNAP! I was hooked. I bought one the same day and thus came about MADSnapper.

3. What do you think someone else would say the most daring thing you've done is?
Driving an 18 wheeler for J.B. Hunt back in 1983, 80,000 miles in 3 months. And I had never been in a big truck in my life.

4. Do you talk with your hands?  👌🙌✌👍

5. What kind of milk did you drink, growing up? And now?

Born in the 40's, in the deep south, poor as dirt and all we had was powdered milk. I did not drink it unless it had chocolate in it or was on cereal. In 1944 until I was 2, mother raised me on Canned Carnation milk, which was part of Daddy's pay for meat cutter at the local market.
Now we drink skim milk.

6. Favorite pie? Lemon Meringue just like my daddy, second choice egg custard, daddy's second choice to.

7. Are you a note taker? YES! I write myself notes, I make lists, If listening to someone talk, I take notes. I also learn by writing down what i want to learn.

8. How old were you when you took your first commercial flight?  To where did you fly?

At 24 years old, my aunt sent me a ticket to fly from Savannah to where I live now to attend a family wedding. my one and only commercial flight because i found out I get desperately sick flying just like a I do on a boat. No flying or floating for me at all.

I like reading your answers! On my old phone, I did use a separate tone for our son & his wife. Yes, lots of lists and notes. I have never been on a plane, and hope to never fly. I have enough fears on the ground, I don't need to go in the air to find more.

Hello, Great questions and answers. I do not have special ring tones, but I put photos with my family members. I can not remember my first digital camera, I would not go back to film. I am a note taker and list maker, it helps me to remember, lol. Going into a cave with bats, yuck! My first flight was Balto-San Francisco-Hawaii 1981. I like Lemon Meringue pie too, yum!
Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

I like stuff like this.
I have a special ring tone for my daughter and one for Wade. Everyone else shares a generic one.
I don't recall when I got my firs digital camera but it was a long time ago. Haven't used film since.
I don't think I've ever done anything that could be considered daring
I do talk with my hands
Milk, dont drink much of it but growing up it was whole milk, when my kids were growing up it was 2% now if I buy it it's skim
Favorite pie would probably be cherry
Yes I do take notes and then I lose them
First commercial flight was when I was 7 years old. My family flew to Mexico to spend Christmas with the family of a foreign exchange student we had a few years before that

A nice way to learn a little more about each other!
#1 - mine's a standard flipfone; no fancy-wancies on that!
#2 - 2009; was a late adaptor, clinging desperately to my Minolta analog film SLR. am now totally digitised.
#3 - I've been told off for many of my adventures; best they don't know about the 'most adventurous'...
#4 - as an avid writer, yes I do!
#5 - Straight from the cow, in early years, due to living by a dairy farm... full cream milk for most of my life, with a spell of five years trying to adapt to soya 'milk'.
#6 - not really a pie person - but if on offer, cherry pie.
#7 - yes
#8 - 16yrs; to Nigeria

I enjoyed your answers and I'm glad you are talented with digital cameras! My favorite pie is egg custard, warm, with nutmeg sprinkled on top. Grandmother had milk delivered bu a local farmer. It came in a mason jar and the cream rose to the top. He also churned fresh butter and it was in a round shape with the design of a flower on top. So good!

Interesting questions and here are my answers:
1. No, I just look at the caller id.
2. After my first grandchild was born in 2004.
3. I don't think I've ever done anything as daring as you did!
4. Yes!
5. Whole milk from Skinner's Dairy. Now I drink 2%.
6. Cherry
7. Definitely
8. About 2 years old. I flew from Atlanta to Jacksonville with my aunt. From the stories I've heard, my grandmother, who was taking care of me after my own mother had died, was angry and frantic that she took me on that plane. I didn't fly again until I was in college.

:O on your driving that huge truck...!

I don't use different ring tones on my cellphone, there are a lot to choose from but I don't really like them, so am keeping to the most neutral one... The problem it sounds pretty much like my 'landline' phone so sometimes I don't know which one is ringing. And what's worse, sometimes I can't distinguish them from phones ringing on TV... (And the people in TV-series I watch get a lot more calls than I do!) (LOL)

1-I have a different ringtone for my hubby. ELO's Blue Sky. It's happy and upbeat, just like he is!

2-My hubby brought home an HP test digital camera in 2001, I refused to use it because I just knew they would never catch on(teeheehee)...I stayed with my "old fashioned" point and shoot until 2004 when I discovered I could edit my underwater photos much easier if they were digital, I was hooked. From then on I am a Nikon digital girl across the board.

3- I have to say I LOVE that you drove an 18 wheeler!! If I wasn't so afraid of trucks, I would try...I love adventure, people would probably say my extreme scuba diving in the Gulf of Mexico in my forties was the most daring, but to me, to driving across country alone with two pups was pretty daring ;-).

4-Not as much since I moved out of NJ

5-Regular whole cows milk...now it's nonfat cows milk.

6-Favorite Pie - cherry or dutch apple

7-Big time note taker and list maker...especially in the last 5 years or so...no if only I would keep them where I would look at them ;-)

8-I believe I was 5 or 6 when we flew from Southern California to Sarasota FL to see my Grandparents

What fun to learn more about out friends!

What fun Q&A.
I am an avid note taker and OM word if my phone had tones for callers...I'd forget who had what tone unless I wrote it on a note

1. Do you use certain text or ring tones for specific people? Who gets their own?

No

2.When did you get your first digital camera? Are you all digital now? Do you still use film?

Got my first digital in 2003. All digital now, never use film, almost never get my photos turned into hard copy (except when I made my photo journal of a trip to England.)

3. What do you think someone else would say the most daring thing you've done is?

Alligator hunting in a river in Bolivia. True

4. Do you talk with your hands?

Yes, somewhat.

5. What kind of milk did you drink, growing up? And now?

Whole milk, straight from the cow to the cooling tank to our refrigerator. Now I don't drink milk at all, unless it's in the form of CHEESE.

6. Favorite pie?

Lemon meringue like my mom used to make. I've made it a few times, but I tend to be the one who eats too much of it, so I mostly don't make it.

7. Are you a note taker?

I'm definitely a note taker!

8. I don't remember when that was. Maybe at age 18 to California.

Great questions. I love seeing what you and others answered.
Okay, so here goes....

1. I have caller ID on phones and call block so I get very few unidentified calls.

2. I don't remember the exact dat but it was in the early 90's. My son who is tech savey helped me get a nice uncomplicated one. I was sold and never went back to film.

3. Most daring for me was a trip to Uzbekistan with 2 other women. Daring because it's not a place that women travel by themselves. Women really not respected there. We were there for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time helping at a school retreat place. I can't devulge where we were.

4.Oh yes, my hands go all the time. I would be lost if I couldn't talk with them.

5. I hardly drink any milk now that I am on my diabetes diet. Think it was whole milk growing up. Once in a while Mom would try to use powered milk (when times were tough) but I could always tell...it was awful and bluish in color. When I was born I had to drink goats milk because of colic and allergies.

6. I do like pie but most can't make a really good crust..I think Peach is favorite followed by my Mother in Laws custard...miss it a lot. she always made it from fresh eggs she got at a friends ranch.

7. I write notes all the time...to do lists which I love to cross off as they are accomplished...grocery lists ...and notes from sermons and Bible studies. I am attempting to keep a thoughts and quotes journal this year. So far its hit and miss but I will keep plugging ahead.

8. First trip was on a prop plane in 1961 as a senior in high school. Our band chartered 3 planes to take us to President Kennedy's Inauguration . We were invited to march in the parade as representatives of California.
Planes are so much different from that time. I like to fly and have been all over the world.

This was fun, thanks Sandra.

YAY, I'm so tickled you did this Sandra!

Boy, do I ever recall powdered milk. My son's dad and I barely had two nickles to rub together, so we regularly bought powdered milk and occasionally sweetened it with the real stuff. I hope 'those' days have given me a great appreciation for what we've got today.

I'd love to hear more about your experience driving an 18-wheeler. WOW. I'm ridiculously curious what sort of perspective they enjoy.

I do have a special ring for my son, my sister and one of my friends.Got my first digital in early spring of 2005.Most daring thing I've done would be to ride the lift up a mountain coupe of years ago.Yes,of course I talk with my hands.Growing up the milk we had came straight from the cow.Now it's 1%. Favourite pie is Coconut Cream. Take some notes as reminders.First and only flight so far was just before New Year in 2013.I would fly again if the destination was the right one.

I do have rings for my family.
I do not have a digital camera.
Went to Alaska alone.
I can use my hands to talk.
I don't remember what kind of milk I drank.
Pumpkin Pie.
My mom worked at United and we went to Europe and then I worked at United Air Lines - I was pretty lucky.

Loved your answers.

I love your answers!!!! Here's my try:

1. I would give different ringtones if I could actually find the time to figure out how to do it. Mainly, my husband, my husband, my dad, and two of my closest friends would get their own.

2. First digital cam was in 1999. We were searching for a new house in a new town, and we had to choose one in a weekend. I wanted us to be able to easily go through photos to remind ourselves of each one while we deliberated. The funny part was that we ended up buying the first house we saw. We loved it, and we still do!

3. Most daring for me was either being the 1st girl in my town's little league or riding my bike solo from Ireland to Southern Italy (with ferries for the water crossings).

4. I talk with my hands... yes, and often I distract other people because my hands don't make sense with what I'm saying :)

5. I drank "skim" milk as a girl, and now I drink "fat free" milk. (funny how the name has changed).

6. I don't like pie, besides perhaps a meringue pie that I remember from when I was a girl. I liked it then!

7. I do write notes to myself, to my husband, and I "take notes" about important things.

8. First flight was to Ireland to visit my father's family. He is an immigrant. We were there for "Bloody Sunday", which was pretty scary.

I enjoyed this!

Well, what a fun way to learn more about you! I’m on my iPad and I have gnarly arthritic fingers so I can’t play along! Where are all my little pen things I bought like you use? I need to find them!
